We had such a wonderful experience here! The server was incredibly kind and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. It‘s self service and using Kiosk for ordering (they don’t ask for the tip). The food was, of course, absolutely delicious — and the portions were generous, too! They asked for feedback on their new jjajang (black bean noodles), and honestly, it was the best we’ve had among all the Korean restaurants we’ve tried. The jjamppong and dombaeguksu were also amazing. This place is definitely going to be our go-to spot for Korean food from now on!⭐️

So delicious! We had the orange chicken—which is a large portion for two people—jjajangmyeon, and of course kimchi. The kimchi is so fresh and has a kick but not overly spicy. My husband ordered the egg side dish which was bubbling hot. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant doesn’t have a large sign, it’s kind of hidden behind Franciscan but well worth a stop in.

Food was great! Good portion sizes–we had the galbitang, seolongtang, bossam, jjajangmyun, and steamed egg. The taste was flavorful and exceeded expectations. Honestly surprised how few customers are around but suspect this is a newer location that does not have as obvious signage in this complex. Get the word out, this place is worth trying!

Came in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the large portion sizes and great tasting food! Ordering is done via a kiosk and you need to place your tray away when done eating.
One improvement could be the ability to add custom instructions and allergy information to the order (which I don’t see yet). We had to go and inform at the counter separately. If the menu items could include what has certain allergens (shellfish, nuts) it would be really helpful to the customers.
Will visit again!

I’m really happy I found this place. The food was very authentic tasting and amazing. I am Korean American and I have tried all the other Korean places around here and this one was my favorite by VERY far. It reminds me of my Korean grandmothers cooking. The staff were all friendly as well.

I’m surprised more people don’t know about this place yet! The first time I came in with my boyfriend and he said it tastes like his mom’s cooking ❤️ he says it was truly comforting and flavorful food. I agree with him! Today I came in for the second time and the food is still delicious and the service is great Best Korean food in West Lafayette/Lafayette area! I recommend 10/10!

I had the Beef Brisket Jja and it was amazing! It looks spicy but it’s not, very tasty! Would recommend anyone and everyone to come here. Great service as well and pretty place to sit and eat

The food was not bad. We gave a tip of 20%, not knowing it was all full self-service. (You order at the kiosk, give the tip at the kiosk, bring the food and water when they ring a bell, and return the tray when you are done.)
The portion was really small, though. It’s similar to the size of an iPhone mini or three AirPods.
Paid around $60, including tax, tip, and a promotional opening discount of around 50%.
Really hope they bring the price and portion more competitively. Good luck!

Clean environment and nice staff! The noodle is really good, this is the first time I have seen a WHOLE in the soup! And the hot stone bibimbap is a serving for TWO! 엄청 맛있었습니다!

Although new, I can say that Soonsoo Kitchen has the best Korean food in the entire West Lafayette/Lafayette area.
The atmosphere is pleasant, there is a bar area for those of you who want to focus on drinks rather than food, and there are rooms reservable for group dinners, meetings, parties, etc.
The Dombe Guksu (돔베국수) is a dish served hot with a rich, non-spicy soup base poured over buckwheat noodles and pork slices. The serving size is very generous for this dish.
The Galbi Jjim (갈비찜) is a dish served with beef short ribs that are broiled. The meat is very tender and delicious, and it serves two per order. It is a little spicy, but you can request it be milder.
The Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is a traditional Korean dish with spicy sauce mixed with rice cakes, fish cakes, and veggies. It is a little spicy, but it is a pleasant spice that quickly gets overpowered by a well-rounded sweet and spicy note.
The Galbi Tang (갈비탕) is a mild, non-spicy soup that is made with beef short ribs. It is a very delicious soup and is suitable for those who cannot easily tolerate spicy foods.
The Bossam combo (보쌈정식) is a dish served with a side of Kimchi soup, rice, and sliced pork belly broiled to infuse a mellow and pleasant taste of pork while removing impurities and smells.
