First time visiting. The seating area was very clean and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately for us the brisket fell well short of our expectations, dry , charred and had an odd aroma. Fires were great as was our other sandwich.

This same plate at a restaurant downtown Chicago was $65, not only did I leave with a full rack but I got food to sit down and eat. I read some of the review first before I went but they gave the vibe or either “I’m a competing BBQ spot that use the same copy cut review about brisket” which BTW BRISKET IS NOT BBQ, it’s at best a hot dish.
My ribs here were immaculate. Perfectly sauced, thick cut and evenly smoked.
My French fries matched the size of the meal, enough potato to clear the palette.
Coleslaw was rich and not too creamy and the right amount of vinegar. I needed a bigger portion in my opinion.
Potato Salad was DEVOURED
If you don’t like their beans, imma fight your mama. They were fire.
When I went this restaurant smelled like it was freshly cleaned, the tables were pristine.
THEY HAVE AN ELEVATOR!

Stopped in and tried this place tonight “Sooie Bro” ran by my brother man @Al food was damn good definitely had that “mmmm” factor and “full” feeling after ya finish. Sauce was saucing, beans was jumping. Collar greens was mean. Don’t believe my taste buds go try it for yourself instead only had a couple bucks on me so I couldn’t leave a bigger tip but deft had to leave $5 for the 5 food.

I’ve had a lot of bbq and this place tops them all! There’s a little of soemthing for everyone from ribs to chicken to their Sooie burger! The staff here are so nice and the food is just as amazing! I love how everything is fresh, the sides are just amazing and even to crave your sweet tooth they have a yummy bourbon pecan cheesecake! I don’t mind paying the $1 for water or refills bc gas stations do it all the time , not sure why ppl are complaining about it . But this is your go to lunch/dinner!

Not good. Brisket chewy and dry. Burnt ends very chewy. Both tasted like they sat around a while and reheated. Coleslaw was very watery, no taste. Beans maybe strait out of a can. Cornbread was so dry it crumbled. Fries ok- nothing special. Also had to pay $1 for cup of water and $1 if you want a soda refill. Very expensive for what we were served. Don’t waste your time or money.

The sloppy Sooie was an over the top spin on a sloppy Joe. There was almost too much meat to fit on the bun. The seasoned fries were hot and fresh. A trip to a bbq place wouldn’t be complete without a side of greens and these DID NOT disappoint! Even if you think you are full, you really aren’t too full to try the home made banana pudding for desert. Fantastic food and friendly, welcoming staff. Will definitely be going back again!
