Sonora Delights in Tucson is a wonderful place to treat yourself to something refreshing and flavorful. The strawberry raspados were absolutely delicious—perfectly shaved ice soaked in rich, authentic strawberry flavor that was both refreshing and satisfying. Every bite tasted fresh and well made, not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. The quality and care put into their treats really stand out. A great spot to cool off and enjoy a classic dessert done right. Highly recommended!

I ordered food from here for delivery so I can’t comment on the actual service or ambiance or anything of that sort, just the food. I tried the Sonoran hot dog which was quite tasty. Not too big, I probably could’ve eaten two no problem.

I also got the pineapple raspado, and then in the app it said I could add another fruit so I picked mango. My raspado only had mango on it, no pineapple. It was pretty bizarre but it still tasted good. Again, I wasn’t there in person to say something and didn’t end up complaining on the app since it was still yummy, just not what I actually ordered. It was a nice treat to wash down the hot dog.

I have been customer for years now. They are very clean, the food is delicious and the quality is great! My favorite tacos are cabeza tacos, all the snacks are delicious but my favorite is the cóctel de elote!! You can’t find another place that makes better cóctel de elote than this one here!! Personal is great Eva and Lorena are outstanding.

Unmatched…absolutely DELICIOUS!

Anyway, I already raved about it on TikTok, but the presentation may not have been Michelin-star pristine…but those fresh ingredients and authentic flavors?

No comparison.

It’s a quaint place and the customer service was great as well.

So glad I took my friend’s advice…(she works at the Ramada in Tucson)

I’m late with the review, but had to give Sonoran Delights its props. I will definitely be back!

Restaurant located less than 10 minutes from Sentinel Peak. The place is not so nice but it is very busy. I tried the Sonoran Hot dog, and it was excellent – filled with tomatoes and beans and with just the right amount of mayonnaise. The staff is friendly and welcoming. No idea what the problem is here, but as far as the food goes, they just aren’t consistently good. We’ve been three times in the past year. The first time was a disappointment. The second time was wonderful. And the third time, a week after the second time, was another disappointment. And even though the staff was the exact same people. I’d love to be more supportive, especially since it’s so handy to where we live. But we don’t have time or money to throw away on what the odds say, 2 to 1, will probably be another disappointing meal. Sorry.

Food was cheap yet somehow not worth buying. Very lackluster, tasteless, small portions, rice is terrible. Would not feed to a dog. Service was fine. Atmosphere was fine. They have to actually try when it comes to food. They have made no effort to make decent food.

Got a caramelo with the smallest amount of carne asada and cheese. A small taco has more meat and cheese than the caramelo. We also got 3 raspados with very little fruit. My wife very politely went to let the front young lady know and the lady said “ok” instead of “I sm sorry” or something to that effect. Anyway mistakes will be made everywhere but the way you resolve it will make a difference. Not here.

Last night, my friends and I stopped by for dessert. As we were entering, we saw a couple with two children on their way out to the parking lot. The mother was having difficulty walking and collapsed in front of us. I rushed inside and informed the staff that there was a woman having a medical emergency in the parking lot. My boyfriend quickly followed and requested a glass of water for the woman. He then overheard a staff member say it “wasn’t their responsibility” to call for help because they didn’t personally see what was happening in their parking lot.

When the woman’s husband came inside and asked for another cup of water, this time to wash away the vomit his wife had just expelled, an employee asked something to the effect of, “Didn’t I just give you water?” The gentleman replied that he needed a cup with just water and no ice, and the employee snapped that he should’ve brought back the original cup.

I couldn’t believe how callously this man was treated, especially in a moment of medical concern. After witnessing that, I let my friends know I didn’t want to purchase anything from the establishment, so we left empty handed.

Businesses are an important part of any neighborhood, and looking out for the safety and well-being of community members should be a shared priority.
