I brought my mom here for a Valentine’s Day dinner, and it was absolutely delicious!!! The prime rib was out of this world!!! So were the mushrooms and lobster Mac! We also enjoyed espresso martinis and the raspberry cheesecake for dessert! Katie was our server, and she took great care of us! Excellent service! Special shout out to Bri as well! We had such a fantastic experience!

Fantastic experience! Everything was top notch! The food was amazing! Brianne, our server, was so sweet and attentive. The best personality! Beautiful place! I can’t say enough good things about Sonny’s. Who needs to drive into Pittsburgh for an amazing steak dinner (oh and the crab cakes were amazing too) just got to Sonny’s. You won’t be disappointed. We will be back!!!

We were looking for a place for my partner’s birthday that specialized in prime rib. We had to drive here from Pittsburgh and it was totally worth it! The prime rib was tender and flavorful, and the whipped potatoes and asparagus with bernais were perfectly prepared as well. Our server Kacie was very attentive and thoughtful. They even gave us a free dessert for his birthday. Will definitely be back for future special occasions.

The atmosphere was incredible, cozy, quiet and comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing! Filet Mignon was the best we’ve ever had, Do not travel to Pittsburgh for fine dining! As an added extra, the Van Morrison playlist was an added bonus for my husband! Nariah was our waitress and was phenomenal. The service was impeccable, prompt, and personal! We couldn’t have asked for a better Valentine’s dinner!

So you’re perusing google looking for something special. Sonny’s is just that! A true gem amongst all the rocks around us. I have feasted on prime rib from coast to coast, this by far is thee absolute best! It does not stop there, everything we had was spectacular, our service from Nariah was perfectly executed. As soon as we were seated Nariah presented a rose gold tiara for the birthday girl, my mother, and proceeded to nail every aspect through out the night. Beyond that every item was cooked to perfection. A birthday succes I say.

Stopped for a special birthday dinner. The filet was seasoned and done perfectly. I be especially enjoyed the seasoning on the steak. Crab cakes were fabulous! Place of lump crabmeat. Sides were good too. The loaded mashed potatoes, mushrooms and breaded zucchini were amazing! What a lovely dinner out. Our server surprised the birthday girl with a crown and a piece of cheesecake. So special. No complaints… We will be back.

There are two parts to this restaurant. The bar side then the steakhouse side. We ate in the Prime Rib Room and man was it good.
I like prime rib but do t love it. Except here. It was our first time and the Prime Rib was perfect. Unimaginably perfect. You need to order the day ahead but worth it.
We also got the Brandied Carrots (sweet little carrot gems) and the sautéed mushrooms (delicious buttery rosemary flavor).
Crab cake was the best my wife and I ever had. In Belle Vernon. What???
Had the giant cookie for dessert as well.
The rib eye was good but not the star of the show like the prime rib was.
100%. Will make this a regular visit. For two, you probably just need one entree and two sides. Expect to spend $100 on that. Well worth it. Better than the steakhouses downtown.

We have come here twice now and it’s been wonderful! The food is so good and the atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. The service is always very friendly and timely. It is now our go to place for our special occasions and worth every penny!
