A couple of weeks ago I got, Sonny’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, for lunch. I ordered their Plain, Pepperoni, Italian Sausage w/ Peppers and Onions slices. The Plain and the Pepperoni slices were really good. Def above average. The pizza slices I experienced has a thinner crust and had a pleasant crunch to them. The sauce was phenomenal and cheeses used were really good as well too. I did not like the Italian Sausage w/ Peppers and Onions slice. The sausage was exceptional, but the veggies, although cooked well and to perfection, flavor did not mesh well when placed together. The staff who took my order was attentive, nice, and provided excellent service. The Italian Sausage w/ Peppers and Onions slice greatly impacts my total score. The Plain and Pepperoni slices greatly increases to my total score as well. All in all, I’d recommend, Sonny’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, to anyone in the Englewood area looking for some decent pizza.

First thing you notice when you come in this pizzeria is the staff, they are not too friendly. The restaurant is manage by what appears to be two brothers, clearly family members. The food takes a long time to come out and the food quality is fair/good. The restaurant has a large menu option and this might be the reason of the food quality, when places have a large menu is usually not a great place. If you are looking for a pie or slice of pizza the place is good. Has parking to the rear and fairly large eating area.

Everything was great. It was a really clean place to eat. I had a pepperoni cortisone. It was fresh well made. Really good. Come out fast on time… also had a 16″ pie everything taste fresh on the spot made..

I first moved here 20+ years ago and found Sonnys. Pizza was awesome… my children grew up with Sonnys and we love them. Today, one of my sons got braces and wanted Pizza so badly but his teeth was hurting. I asked them to make it soft crust so he can chew.. They made it perfectly . I am so glad that my kids grew up with Sonnys and each phases of their lives were celebrated with them. Thank you Sonnys !!! WE LOVE YOU

The place feels a bit dated, and while the staff was polite, they weren’t especially warm. The pizza itself was just okay, not terrible, but nothing memorable either. Overall, it was a very average experience. I wouldn’t go back, but I also wouldn’t call it the worst meal I’ve had.

This review is based on my very 1st time experience at this restaurant. I called ahead of time to place an order for a Lg Margherita pizza.
Staff is friendly hence the 1 star. The food is NOT great. The pizza was very thick , No sauce, the extra basil I ordered was cut with scissors infront of the register with the same person making cash transaction. No Gloves nothing! Overall its the next morning and my stomach and my wife hurts. Never coming back again.

Staff are nice but unfortunately the owners listed their business with “praying for more babies in 2025”. Just stick with pizza. — Oh wait, the owners just responded. They acknowledge mixing their politics with pizza, it wasn’t a mistake or a mixup. It’s intentional. That’s the opposite of a “welcoming space for everyone”. By adding extreme ideology to their pizza, their focus isn’t just on food or service. Looks like I’ll be taking my pizza money elsewhere
