Waited an hour for a Togo order which was wrong and it was horrible. Ribs were so burnt there was no meat on them and inedible. Ordered garlic bread and got cornbread. Overall a total waste of $20! Food used to be fantastic, something changed the past few months. Last two times were awful and management obviously doesn’t care because they do not respond to the surveys or when feedback is entered on the website.

We had a great experience at Sonny’s BBQ! Our waitress, Kayla, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Our drinks stayed full, the food came out just the way we ordered, and she checked on us without ever making us feel rushed.

Kayla’s warm personality and great service really made our visit enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for her if you stop by!

From the moment you walk in, the aroma of oak-smoked meats sets the tone. I ordered the St. Louis Ribs with the sweet and Smokey sauce , and they were fall-off-the-bone tender with just the right amount of char. The BBQ beans and coleslaw were classic sides done right, and the garlic bread was a warm, buttery bonus.

Service was fast and friendly—our server Reed made great recommendations and kept the drinks flowing. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, perfect for a laid-back dinner or a hearty lunch.

Love the Sonny’s BBQ in Palm Harbor, FL! It’s close to my office, so a good spot to grab lunch from; bit challenging to get to lately with the US Highway 19 construction. My coworker and I love their salads and corn nuggets. I also enjoy their smoked chicken wings, sliced pork sandwich on garlic toast, mac & cheese and sweet tea! Hope they bring back the brisket grilled cheese that was super yummy. Very friendly staff too!

I ordered to go, a whole rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw. Every bit of it was delicious. Ribs were tender and fall off the bone. Sauce was addicting. Fries were great to eat the left over sauce. And the coleslaw was definitely made in house. Recommended 10/10

First time I ate at Sonny’s was in 1969 in Gainesville, where it all began. I was hooked on barbecue from then on. And I was hooked on Sonny’s.

This is our local Sonny’s, and today Christina took our order. We got the Sonny’s birthday special: sweet ribs with garlic bread, coleslaw and beans (baked for Husband and green for me) for $10.99. We’ve always had good experiences here – great food and great service. Tonight is no different.

Today is Sonny’s birthday, so we also got free dessert: cupcakes! It wasn’t busy when we came at 4:30, but past experiences have been standing room only when ribs are the special for the day!! As we are we saw the place fill up with families. Couples and groups.

This is a great place to unwind, enjoy the warm & friendly atmosphere, and eat excellent barbecue.

The employees were kind n very tentative. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but the turkey just melted in my mouth. The flavor was incredible. The green beans were salty but had a wonderful ham flavor. The slaw was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had.

I couldn’t decide between the baby back ribs or brisket so I ordered both a full rack of baby back ribs and the brisket dinner. When the waitress delivered my ribs she said I know it looks like a half rack but the ribs have alot of meat so it weighs the same as a whole rack. I’m sorry but a half rack is not a whole rack, I don’t care what it weighs. And then the sliced brisket that is supposed to be lean was half fat. Again sold by weight. Not sure if I will eat here again, especially if I need to bring a scale with me. Take a look for yourself. No Photoshop that’s the size of the potato
