Omgggg, this place hits the spot! I was craving bbq. And you know what was even better…. The service and staff. Amazing ppl work here. And I’m a sucker for the bbq sauces…. I wish I could have taken some home .
It was my first time as this location. They were buzzing and packed. It was a cold Florida day and everyone needed a good home cooked meal.
I had half a chicken with sides and ordered fried ochre…. Damn…. It was good.
My sweet tea was also delightful’. My server kept checking on me and didn’t miss a beat.
Can’t wait to return!

The food and experience at Sonny’s was positive! I enjoyed my brisket sandwich which was packed with meat. The meal was delicious! Be careful as the pulled pork comes with sauce and was not as good as some competitors. We also wish there was an option to seat ourselves/counter service instead of a sit down option.
Overall though, the service was great and my meal enjoyable. We will return and I suggest you visit!

Excellent barbecue joint, Sonny’s always delivers on their reputation of being a true barbecue place, it is nice. They have several TVs with ball games going on while you wait for your food the food that we got tasted exactly like the last Sonny’s that we were at it was excellent, and you can always count on Sonny’s for their best pulled pork or sliced pork, the barbecue sauce is off the charts great. The waitress was excellent. She came back several times to make sure that everything was taken care of which she refilled my drink a couple times and made sure everything was OK. Truly a great experience. The restaurant is located right off the interstate exit and easy to get to. We went about two hours before closing so it was not as busy as normal. The food was hot and fresh when they brought it out and absolutely delicious. Sonny’s has always had a great reputation for being a real Florida experience. We all had the sliced or pulled pork and it was down home yummy. Best food around these parts. Thank you so much Sonny’s for having such a legendary place. Your values of smoked bbq are awesome.

We had Whitney as our server we went there for dinner. I ordered ribs all you can eat. My wife ordered sliced pork. It was very good. The service was real friendly and fast. We’ve got our food within 20 minutes of sitting down. It was very tasty. I would recommend this barbecue for everyone. They have the best ribs around.

I had smoky ribs on my mind and the St Louis dry-rub ribs were-a-plenty. The welcoming draw of hickory smoke and the friendly welcome was a great start. I had the all you can eat deal for a couple of bucks more and well worth it. Located near I-75 at the State Hwy 64 exit, next to The Cracker Barrel. You don’t need to buy a rocking chair, so head over to Sonny’s and get your BBQ ON! Yum!

Ordered through Door Dash, and when the food arrived the food portions were the smallest we have had from them. We both order the pick 2 and the ribs were more riblets that you would get at Applebee’s.

Look, I have lived in Florida for 11 years, before Covid Sonny’s had the best overall food for the buck. Their salad bar was chock full of Southern iconic side dishes. Now the salad bar is gone, But Sonny’s went out of their way to put great service to the for-front of their restaurants. In the dozens of times I have eaten here, the servers and managers ALWAYS went out of their way to make sure you got the best they had.
Unfortunately that is not what happened today. We all have bad days once in a while, and today was a bad day for our server Melissa. After a full meal of poor service (and accusing me of acting HANGRY) she comes to our table and announces she is in a contest with the other servers to get the most “5 star reviews”. And if we could “help her out” with a 5 star review we would be rewarded with a complimentary dessert.
Well when I was offered that BRIBE I asked to speak to the manager.
About ten minutes later, Logan came to our table and introduced himself as the restaurant manager. I repeated how we were treated by Melissa to Logan and we were assured that this was not Melissa’s normal work (the restaurant wasn’t half full at 3:00 PM today). And I want to state that Melissa, after hearing directly from me, about the disdain she showed toward me during the meal, apologized to me.
After hearing me out, Logan not only comped our meal, but offered us anything else that would have made this experience better for us.
The food at Sonny’s isn’t the best Bar-B-Q in the city, but when you get people who show they care about what they are doing, that goes along way with me. Melissa didn’t show me that she cared about what I thought and experienced today, but Logan did. The Chef did. Even the hostess did.
I am concerned that this 5 star review ploy is inflating their google rating so that patrons can get free dessert. Consider that when you decide to come here. Personally, I will try a different location in the future so I can miss Melissa’s bad days.

What restaurant advertises their app rewards but don’t have internet service? Asking for a friend.

So crazy good!!! If you love BBQ, and your in Florida, then you have to go to Sonny’s BBQ! Everything we ordered was off the chain. Service was great and the atmosphere was very cozy! There are 81 locations in the state of Florida. Being OTR truckers we see a lot of Sonny’s BBQ in every state, but the one in Florida is the one to beat!

We both ordered the prime rib sandwich with a sweet potato. This has been our order the last 3 times we were in.
First time excellent.
Second time potato was great but the sandwich wasnt that good.
Third time was not good at all. The potato was barely cooked. The meat was like it was bottom of the barrel type of texture.
Our servers have always been great and are the reason we keep returning. Kim is our favorite person at this location.
