The service is great at this location but the food is very sub par and the fries were very bland and flavorless. The pulled pork sandwhich was good but the sauces offered are also very pedestrian imo.

I used to really enjoy Sonny’s BBQ, but not anymore. The past few times I have eaten here have been unpleasant. I am not sure they ever clean the fixtures at this location. The ceiling fans and lights are disgusting. The tables are not cleaned regularly, and the sauce bottles are sticky and nasty. The service has gone to hell too. Our last visit here was a nightmare. They have increased prices, lowered portions, and refuse to give service with a smile. Instead you get surly waitstaff that could care less. My tip showed how little I care for poor service.

Second time I have come in to eat. The first time I came in it was for dinner, this time it was for lunch. Lunch is super affordable and really good. Had the smoked turkey on garlic toast. Boy, was it tasty.
The only negative is the ambiance. They really need to update their carpet and lighting.
Other than that it was a great experience. Oh! I recommend the redneck egg rolls for an appetizer. Another tasty item on their menu.

Okay, let me start by saying that my boyfriend and I eat at Sonny’s quite a bit…we never have any issues at all, the food and service is always amazing.
This particular store was just not up to par, we were greeted and seated quickly…it took our server a little bit to get over to us, even though the restaurant was slow. When she came over, she brought our drinks and then disappeared for a bit again…she finally came back, I ordered the sliced pork sandwich on garlic bread and Cole slaw, while my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork on a bun with beans and we got a basket of fries to share.
Food came out pretty quickly, the portion size of the fries was a tad small in my opinion. My food tasted great, but my boyfriend took a bite and ended up with a mouth full of fatty textured meat…we figured no big deal, just fat from the pig. Two bites later, he bit into bone. The server came back when we were halfway done and he asked to have his sandwich remade…no big deal. The manager brought over the new sandwich and offered to take the meal off the check. Not what we wanted at all, so we had her add it on…we finished our meals and began to head out.
We got to the car and my stomach immediately turned, I had to run back in and use the restroom…after that, we left and went to our next destination, my boyfriend went to the bathroom and threw up. We both ended up with food poisoning from here…it was not a fun time. Most likely won’t be back…and, next time, we’ll let the manager leave the food off the bill.

So I have always enjoyed the food at Sonny’s. Especially on a quick “let’s get BBQ” last minute kind of night. But this location in particular is always out of something. I can’t count the number of times they have been out of brisket, once is was chicken, once was sausage and one time it was “all pork items”. This last time we went the fryer was broken. We were only told this after we were asked if we wanted to order appetizers, which 4 of 5 are fried. I space my visits out and give them the benefit of the doubt each time and have held off for almost two years writing this hoping it would get better. The only reason they are getting three stars is because the service has always been good, friendly, and relatively quick.

This is a nice BBQ restaurant, gives you the feel of a family owned place that’s been around for years, although it could use some updating. They have a nice salad bar buffet. The BBQ we had tasted good, was prepared right and at an expected price. They have 4 flavors of sauces on the table. The service was average but not fast. They give you huge drink glasses, so you probably won’t need a refill, haha. All was good here.

Unfortunately there are no Sonny’s near my home so I can get it only when I travel. I found Sonny’s a couple of years ago and have made a point of going whenever one is nearby. It amazes me how consistently great their food and service is across their stores. I’ve been to many, never the same one twice. Every one has been a treat. I recommend them to my friends and family and will continue to go whenever I can.

I do enjoy bbq every now and then, and this location doesn’t disappoint.
Make sure you are specific on the way you want your food cooked and it will come out correct.
The servers are attentive and will keep the beer flowing if you go with something hot or spicy.
Be sure to leave a little room for dessert too. They usually have something you’ll wish you had tried!

Very pleasant servers. Good value for the buck but don’t get too excited. This is chain store BBQ. Most good BBQ joints display their trophies up front; you’ll find no trophies displayed here for a reason. Decent food at a decent price.

Let’s start off with I love Sonny’s chain but this place is a no go. Staff is friendly but slow and I can deal with that if the food was good. On most tables with no customers the bbq sauce had no lids for my entire visit. Brisket was the driest food cold and not very tasty. This is my third and last visit to the spot.
