Used the drive-up(that was a shock), staff was very friendly and did not wait long to get food. Pulled over to verify food and was not HOT whatsoever;make since to why i didn’t wait long. The only Hot food was the corn nuggets; they were very good. The bbq is not like the other Sonny’s I’ve been to: Sebring & Sarasota (much tastier and better food).Beans were overly sweet and thick, mac and cheese was okay and so was everything else. Not the best and very Dry and room temperature.

Felt for BBQ after the beach and mistakenly went to Sonny’s, thinking it was Shorty’s BBQ (out of Miami). Definitely wasn’t. Chicken that looked and tasted more like BAKED chicken was what was presented. Smothering it, thereafter, with various versions of their BBQ sauce doesn’t make it authentic char- or mesquite-grilled “BBQ” either. I also ordered (and paid extra) for white meat and, honestly, when it ends up on my plate, I’d really appreciate the feathers plucked from the bird (See pic).
Someone else ordered the beef brisket. Another ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on garlic bread, which came on a bun instead and had to be changed out. Our waitress neither offered drink refills or dessert. Therefore, no extra points for service either.
As someone who can cook, I’d say this was a completely forgettable experience. I can do better in my own kitchen. If you can’t cook, maybe, you won’t notice the difference. But I won’t be back at any of their joints because the experience is so forgettable that I had actually forgotten I’d eaten once before at their Bird Road branch in Miami.

Pretty darn good BBQ. Meat falling off the bone, whether it’s off the ribs or the chicken – the meat slides off the bone and melts in your mouth. Sides are always good too. Get the cornbread, you’ll love it. Always a good meal at Sonny’s. Can’t wait to come back…. and back, and back.

Great flavor but the ribs were about the size of baby back ribs. As you can see by the pick, they are about the size of the corn muffin. This put me off my Q game.

Haven’t been to Sonny’s in years. We’ve missed out. This location looks awesome now. The staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Our waiter Kurtis (?) was quick to take our drink order and food. We received our food in a very timely manner. It was absolutely delicious. The salad bar is a great deal and I love the way they chop everything up. It was well stocked and everything tasted fresh. We will definitely be back again.
