We ordered the Turkey Breast meal from the Lynn Haven location with sides for take out. It is supposed to feed up to 10. They have cut back the portions on the side items. Sides are put in cups instead of the pans. Very disappointing. It will feed five at most, but not ten. We had to run the Publix on Christmas eve to prepare more food. Wife was in a frenzy.

I can’t believe my first review has to be a bad one. Me and my husband came here for dinner and I’m just disappointed in the service we received. The young lady we placed our order with, Emma, wasn’t very pleasant and couldn’t pour a decent drink to save her life, God bless. I didn’t send it back because she just seemed to be one of those young people that would pitch a fit for sending something back. Maybe it was a bad day for her but maybe being a little more personable would help. We’ll try this restaurant again when we’re ready.

Everytime I order from here I order doordash. When I receive my order the bag as a smell to it like eeeeyuck. Today I ordered the chopped brisket salad. When I opened the plate I noticed a huge clump of meat on top not chopped nor was it hot. It looked to had been sitting in a pan and they just tossed it on top. Because of the white solid grease. When people order a salad they want a fresh cool salad with a warm surprise of meat flavor. Not greasy fat meat. I had to order a side of brisket from another local restaurant just to have the right meal. A plate full of lettuce with fat eeeeeyuckkkk. Might be the last time I order.

This is what we received after we complained with an order previously that was so dry you couldn’t eat it, this replacement order was so full of fat and burned pieces that it’s not edible either, Sonny’s has gone totally down hill and is a waste of money, don’t bother!

I never expect much when visiting a chain BBQ joint but this place really surprised us.
Smoked wings were tasty with a nice crispy skin.
The rack of ribs were tender without being overcooked to the mushy fall off the bone so many places serve.
The brisket didn’t have as much bark as I prefer but was really well cooked and would make an amazing sandwich.
The star of the show was the baked beans, we ended grabbing an extra pint to go.
The BBQ sauces were a generic brown sugar style and mostly tasted the same between the 4 choices. Tasty but not special, fortunately all of the meat we ordered was great on its own.
I only removed a star because the drinks were pretty overpriced, a couple of rounds cost as much as 3 entrees and an appetizer.

Very nice customer service people at this Sonny’s BBQ restaurant in Lynn Haven, Florida. I was there early to buy their famous chicken salad to go. Lady got my order went in back to get it ready. All employees are great, they greeted me when I walked in the front door.

Under staffed food came out quick, waitress was good just disappeared here and there handling her other tables when we just wanted to get the check and go. Waited to long to come back to take our order, we said we needed a minute not 10, beans tasted over seasoned, baby backs were fall off bone but they looked weird like someone took a knife and pulled a Freddy slash on the top? Never seen that before lol

Update:ANOTHER update. Dinner with hubby. Everything was great as usual. Had lunch with the girls. Our hometown fav. Didn’t let us down. You know the Lynn Haven sonny’s has a full service bar . So of course we had a couple of cocktails with our lunch. I had sliced pork with French fries and bbq beans,garlic toast. Man it was delicious. Service was on time and overtime . We had a blast. Come have a lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere. Prices are alot more fair than competition bbq joints. But I know “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR’. That’s the way it should be. So go enjoy some bbq .
