Went through drive thru. Was given to large drinks with lids poorly closed. Spilled all over me and my vehicle. Waited an extended period of time to get order. Drove home ( 30 miles away) only to find the order was incomplete. I was missing the side orders of fries.
I called the location and spoke to the manager( Crystal) She thanked me for making her aware and said she would speak with her team. After spending $50 on the order, I expected some type of retribution or credit, however none was offered. I realize I probably should have checked the order before leaving. I guess I learned a lesson. Unfortunately, I don’t believe the Manager was so enlightened. Will definitely look for other options moving forward.

I went in at 12:45 pm, yes it was a still a little busy for lunch, a couple and myself stood in line at least 10 minutes before we got a table, I came in before the couple, The server sit us both at the same time, took our drink order, when she returned with the drinks granite she took the couple’s order behind me before mine. I placed my order of a pulled pork sandwich w/fries at 1:05 pm, by 1:30 pm I still had not received my sandwich, so I had to get up and leave before I got my order to return back to work from my lunch hour. I understand people may be short-staffed and busy, but she never came back and apologized, said your order be here soon, NOTHING!!!

We visited Sonny’s BBQ for lunch recently. The service we received was great—our waitress was friendly and attentive, which was definitely the highlight of the meal.
The food, however, was just okay. We ordered a simple appetizer and two lunch plates, and while everything was decent, nothing was outstanding or memorable.
The real issue came with the bill. For an appetizer and two basic lunch plates, the total came out to a shocking $60. Considering the food was only “decent” and not exceptional, this price point is simply ridiculous in my book. The sticker shock was significant, and ultimately, it felt like very poor value for money.
I can’t recommend it based on the current pricing for the quality of food received.

We went during lunch and I personally had not seen the place since it’s renovation, I instantly had a much more aesthetically pleasing experience right off the bat compared to their old ‘style’. We were greeted and helped as soon as we came in and the hostess was super friendly. Our waitress was very nice and quick to the table. We didn’t have any real issues during our visit, the food took a little longer than expected, but the waitress informed is there was a large order ahead of our own so we didn’t feel like it was an issue. The food was delicious, hot, and everything we could expect. Would definitely come back and recommend.

I ordered online. I clicked i arrived. My order ready time was 6:17p.m. I arrived about 4 minutes before that. I clicked i arrived and they said someone would be out with my order no one ever came. I watched her take my order and sit it on a rack with the rest of the orders. I waited a few more minutes to see if someone would bring it and no did. I went in at about 6:25p.m. when I realized no one was coming. No one greeted me upon coming in. The food wasnt good this time for the amount I spent. The chicken was undercooked, the toast was barely cooked and soggy and so were the sweet potato fries. Highly disappointed.

Sonny’s Barbecue is outstanding! The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the restaurant was very clean and well-kept, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best barbecue spots around. Highly recommend!

I went last weekend and met a couple of friends to eat. It was good, the normal what you expect from Sonny’s. The waitress was very nice and food came out hot, fresh and really good. Restaurant was clean and had plenty of parking.

Been to several Sonny’s throughout the Southeast and they are pretty consistent. It’s not the best BBQ in my opinion, but it’s always been good. Had the marbled brisket sandwich on garlic toast with French fries. The staff was very attentive and friendly and Sonny’s always had a good selection of sauces. I’ve never had a bad experience at a Sonny’s so they are always a good choice if you’re on the go, want consistently good food and want it quick!
