Went on Monday night after seeing Christmas Lights. Wasn’t crowded. About 7:30 pm. Had the sliced pork plates for me and wife. Sides were Cole slaw, sweet potato, French fries, baked beans. Wife and I do family style and we share the sides. Sweet tea was good. Waitress was excellent.

The young lady was not friendly at all she acted like she didn’t want to be at work no greeting or nothing when asked for more sauce her reply was I already gave you some .The food was good but didn’t get what I asked for and my garlic bread was only toasted on one side asked for center cut ribs as it say on receipt and clearly didn’t get them they just gave us what they wanted to I live to far to return today so it will be a while before I visit again

Everything was wonderful. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Would definitely recommend. If your ever in or near Jonesboro, GA.

I was craving Sonnys, which I haven’t been there in years and never will go back. I ordered the 3 combo meal and even spent extra for wings. THOSE WERE THE WORSE RIBS I’VE EVER TASTED. They were hard, tough and didn’t taste fresh. In addition, the brisket was heavy and tough and the pork was overly chewy. This is not a great place to visit

First time customer but avid BBQ eater. I must say I was impressed with my order (4 meat platter- smoked wings, brisket, pulled chicken, baby back ribs), sweet tea, Mac n cheese, baked beans, cornbread, garlic bread, and banana pudding. I did a DoorDash order and when I got it was still warm. Unfortunately I got a visitor at the same time so I had to wait a few minutes to finally eat it and it had cooled off but I will say this- it was delicious even cool! The portions were very generous as well.
The wings were phenomenal! Easily some of the best wings I have had. Flavor throughout and not tough at all.
Ribs were juicy and literally pulled right off the meat with not meat left on the bone. The flavor was exactly what I expected.
Pulled chicken was flavorful but on the drier side (somewhat to be expected with chicken tbh), definitely my least favorite from everything I got.
The sliced brisket was juicy and the bark firm and full of flavor. The meat was also really good without the bark so well flavored throughout.
The garlic bread was good but the cornbread was hard as a rock and I didn’t even eat it.
The banana pudding was great as was the Mac n cheese and baked beans.
Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Angel was our server she did a fabulous job! She helped us make good food choices and catered to our needs. Our drinks stayed full and anything else we asked for was provided. Service with a smile from the moment we entered. The food was yummy, presented fabulously. We enjoyed our time at Sonny’s in Jonesboro.

I am sorry to say I am so so disappointed with the food from this location. I have patronized this business for years. My past 3-4 experiences have been awful. Old and dry ribs and terrible Mac and cheese. Fortunately I was dining inside and could have my concerns addressed then. Decided to try again with takeout for the first time. My husband mentioned previous experiences and was told by the cashier “you are supposed to check your food before you leave”. Checked food appeared to be fine until I got home to eat it. Could tell food had been microwaved when I got home. Especially the bread, which was hard. Mac and cheese was soggy. Ribs appeared to be fine when checked prior to leaving but much to my disappointment, when I arrived home, the ribs under them were hard and dry and could not even be eaten. Guess I should have taken every piece of rib off the plate and checked them. Why don’t you be more caring to your customers not to serve them old food is my suggestion. It is unsanitary to have your customers standing at the front counter in the presence of other people standing around your food. to open every plate (which I had 3) at the front counter to check all through every piece of food. It is my decision to never ever visit this place again being that this has happened several times. Hint was when I was told it is my responsibility to check my own food.

I have gone to this location twice in as many days and even had my mom come up here once she tasted my food! The staff are SUPER friendly! I he Earnestine today taking my to-go order and she was patient and let me know information about the food that helped! I didn’t know smoky bbq was the hottest they had and I had to avoid it! lol I didn’t want spicy. She gave me more nuggets of information that helped me make the perfect order and we struck conversation. Adrienne/Adrianne (I’m so sorry if I misspelled her name!) the manager was super friendly and personable as well. I already felt at home and it’s only my 3rd time eating there! (1st time I ordered uber eats). Anyway, 10 out of 10 would recommend! Special shout outs to Dwight who served me the first time I came in store and MiiMii who served my mom. My mom said she was super sweet and Dwight was so nice to me as well!!! Thank you!!!

The disappointment level is extremely high for this place. First, I had never seen ribs so little, but the taste of the ribs was okay. The mac and cheese was not good, and since I picked up my order (this is what my father wanted for Father’s Day), I had to add some brown sugar to the beans to be able to eat them. To each it’s own, this place gets lots of business and it was definitely crowded on this day and people kept coming, but even with my disappointment of the food, there was a manager on duty and this man was yelling so loud and so much, I thought a fight was going on in the kitchen and was coming into the dining area. This man just yelled, and he yelled, and he yelled, then he came to the floor and was yelling at servers that were coming and going back in fourth from the kitchen to the dining area. Sonny’s, I will pass.
