Finally got to make it here and the Nashville Hot wings were amazing! We did the house sauce on the second order and it was delicious as well! Would definitely recommend!

Finally made it to Sonny Reds. Maybe it was like the first Batman movie, my expectations were too high. Went on a Wednesday, $.50 wings are hard to argue with, only $.75 for specialty wings. Place is very nice inside, wait staff is great. But I am not a fan or cornstarch or breading, or anything else in between the skin and the sauce . Wings are fried well, juicy on the inside. Spicy garlic parm are good fun. But I would not consider these traditional wings. Mediums had nice heat, and an interesting smoky quality. This may be a case where I like apples, and they serve oranges. I could easily see how someone else might think. These are the best wings going.

Like many of us here in WNY, I consider myself a wing connoisseur.
I finally made it to Sonny Red’s on Abbot Rd in Lackawanna for 50 cent wings night and I was NOT disappointed.
I sprung for the fancy sauces bumping up the cost to 75 cents each. The Nashville Hot came breaded with bits of pickle while the Buffalo BBQ were classic / baked. Both blew my mind. I now understand why they are rated amongst the best wing joints in WNY.
I was there early, around 3.15 (they open at 3) and the place was humming. By the time I left around 4.15, it was hopping. Classic, upscale corner bar type atmosphere with friendly staff with casual dress.
Long story short, I will be adding this to my regular list and can’t wait to try more flavors next time.

Havent been here in years came home for a visit. This place definitely did not disappoint. The wait was a tiny bit but not too bad we came on 10 cent wing night and it was packed! The food was amazing we got brick oven pizza and a double order of wings! We also had 2 other couples who got pizza and wings too! The homemade Bleu cheese was to die for. My son who didnt like Bleu cheese is a fan now! Morgan was awesome she went above and beyond to take care of us! Drinks we delicious! I did not take pictures of the food unfortunately but it was amazing!

Weither alone or with friends, the staff/bar tender are just so pleasant. When talking to them, they do take time to listen and genuinely respond and engage. Food is legendary, chicken wings and fingers are large and great tasting. Their homemade wing sauce is also very good. Take advantage of their Wednesday wing deals and Thursday finger deals. Best around. Try the Sam Adams cherry wheat on tap. You won’t forget or regret it. Be it sumner outside or winter inside, the atmosphere is just right.

Went on wing Wednesday. .75 wings. Good taste to them. Had an order of garlic parm. They were really good. Also had order of Nashville spicy, make sure you ask for extra crispy. Great flavor but could have been left in for a few mor seconds. The bartenders were really friendly and attentive. Definitely going back for sure.

Came in from out of town for the Buffalo Bills game, and we’re in incredibly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks at this bar. The chicken tenders are homemade, freshly battered and absolutely delicious! Make sure to also get the homemade Sonny’s sauce, and homemade blue cheese. This is a truly great Buffalo experience!
