So I left the sonic on 98th in Albuquerque, came to the sonic on Unser and vista Oriente, and this one was a lot better with customer service and prompt service. Sonic you really need to reevaluate who You hire these employees represent your business you’re name. This location seems to get worse and worse. The quality goes down and the price/wait times go up. I ordered chili cheese fries and threw them away. I NEVER waste food. The chili tasted old, and they used american cheese rather than shredded cheese. It was absolutely horrid. This is the most expensive fast food place which does not earn that merit. I would advise not to dine here.

Takes forever to get your order taken. Waited 10-15 minutes in line on Friday night to be told they shut down their ice cream machine. I don’t understand why this would be unless they ran out which in December I doubt. The service at this Sonic consistently disappoints

I work right around the corner and the lady that’s usually there is super nice and does a great job. Today I came by and a new guy was working and I ordered my usual bacon brioche sandwich and vanilla cold brew. The sandwich only had one pathetic strip of bacon on it but the cold brew tasted seriously off. The milk was clearly spoiled. It was sour and nasty and curdled. The guy told me that he made the coffee last night and used fresh cream, so either this is not true or the recipe needs serious work. I’m admittedly a coffee snob and know to lower the bar when I’m getting something from a drive thru but this was objectively nasty and tasted like neither vanilla or cold brew. It tasted like sour milk.

This was the second time I’ve been to this location. Both times have been bad. The first time, I ordered a Diet Coke, dirty. There was way too much cream and no coconut. This time, I ordered the same and there is no cream, too much coconut, and minimal lime. The fries were barely warm and were chewy. The staff was unfriendly both times.

I hate to leave this review at a one star, but time and time again I’m extremely disappointed with this location. I live nearby so I always try to go to my closest one to be supportive, but It’s just gotten too ridiculous.
there are too many different situations with different workers that were horrible to try to be descriptive of, but overall the service is awful, Staff there is usually very rude and disrespectful like it’s a burden to be taking an order, and it takes way too long to put together a simple meal. Half the time I end up waiting 10 minutes for one drink.
i’ve even had staff just throw the food bag out the window without a word, and I still try to give locations benefit of the doubt. Maybe somebody’s having a bad day, maybe they’re shortstaffed, etc. But I’ve just had enough personally and do not feel like supporting this location any further until there is new staff or a new owner that delivers much more of a positive service. I personally work in customer service, and I would never retreat clients or customers the way that I’m treated at this location.

The young girl at the window couldn’t find my order. Finally came back with my food. I let them know the fries looked old, plus they were cold. She left for awhile, again, and brought new bag of fries (looked in bag). Came home and come to find out they put a few new fries on top of the old ones I gave them. See pic of old looking fries. They are hard and dry too. At least they got my burger right. Smh. I hate coming to the location. 2nd pic is of the fries spread out more to see better.

Honestly came here with my boss he bought lunch today. And the guy at the drive thru is slow or not paying attention as boss has to repeat himself like 4 to 5 times. The food was ok but I got the wrong food . I ordered it with mustard and came with mayo . Please work on your communication skills . This is a big thing for me if you get my food wrong especially if we repeated it many times. Please listen to the customer better.

All of those Sonic TV commercials touting the Sonic Garlic Butter Bacon Burger as the ‘new thing’ finally got to me! Had to head to the local Sonic & taste that burger for myself.
Yep! Burger was true! Bacony, and buttery, and garlicky! It DIDN’T present itself as a work-of-art tho’ (like the TV commercials do). Looked hastily put together and ‘heavy’, maybe bcuz of the cheese & butter/grease & doughy bun..?
Tried it & I’m done! Not a fan of garlicky burgers, espec buttery ones! Couldn’t tell if there was a ‘slice’ of cheese on this burger, or some type of cheese ‘melt’..? Probably just overcooked!
The staggering Nutritional Information on sodium, fat grams, and calories should come as NO surprise to you!
Maybe, Sonic should consider exchanging the ‘bun’ for thin slices of toasted garlic bread..? Taking a bite of all those different flavors & textures, including the bun, proved too much to me. Couldnt appreciate the ‘excitement’ of the burger. The ‘bun’, itself, was ‘in the way’ during the chewing. I’m just sayin’…
Wonder how it would taste with some zesty, sliced jalapeno peppers added? Hmmm..
