TL;DR: 20 minute wait to place an order. One employee working.

According to reviews this has been going on for over a month and no one has addressed the service issues.

Tonight: Zero cars in the lot. Mobile ordering was turned off (as it has been at this location for over a year, so it’s not an issue that there was a deluge of mobile orders).
I go to the drive through, and they said please wait until we can take your order and pull into a car spot.

So I did. Then she said “please wait before I can take your order.” I said “sure, but how long?” No response.
I have a crying baby in the car.
Every 5 minutes I press the button: same response “please wait before I can take your order.”
Exactly 20 minutes later she responded and took my order.
Was it busy? No; still no cars in the lot.

I understand stuff happens. It seems she was the only employee.
But there needs to be a better way to communicate that it will take 20 minutes to order.
I don’t even blame her, but corporate needs to better empower its employees.
Please tell me “we are closed for an hour.” Or, “your order will take over 30 minutes.” Or “we are understaffed, please go to another Sonic.”

Please help this employee with more staff to help and support.

Worker at the drive thru was extremely rude. I couldn’t even place my order to review the food. Why are you even open if you are not going to serve customers? I was told I would have to wait ten minutes for them to take my order. I told the worker that was fine and I sat there waiting. After about 3 minutes she screamed at me that if I was going to wait, I would have to go park. Like she expected me to just leave, they really don’t want to serve food here I guess. Extremely negative experience why would you treat your customers like that? Do better. Hope your manager takes note because I would recomend to everyone to stay away from this location. And i wont go back.

Pressed the button to order, waited. Car near us had pressed their button before us. Several minutes pass, we’re just chilling. Car near to us presses the button again (I think) and in the snarkiest tone we heard a female voice say “we’re not taking any orders at this moment” and nothing else. So both of us left. Google says they’re open for 3 more hours?

Normally I actually really like sonic. But I had a really NASTY experience the other day.

It was closer to when they close I think and me and my girlfriend were really looking to chow down on some of those delicious sonic tator tots. We both ordered chicken sandwiches and we’re waiting at the drive through. It was taking a while, quite a while actually. And so my girlfriend was bored and looked into the place to see what they were doing when a bigger heavier set lady who works there was in the back staring her down and throwing her arms up in the air.

We couldn’t hear her but she definitely was mouthing off/cursing at us and saying something about how we were looking inside the store. Big deal I know. People looking at you while you do your job, who would’ve guessed?

Anyways I don’t know her name but watch out for the evil mean big lady at the sonic on. 2440 W 128th Ave, Broomfield Co.

I love you sonic but this hurts… That chicken sandwich was awesome though.

Definitely seemed to be understaffed but who isn’t these days. The car hop was also trying to run the drive thru she is in need of a raise or proper compensation for doing all that and maintaining great customer service. Drinks were good as always food was tasty not anything to really write about, sonic is always good for a quick fix

An absolute waste of time. Sat in the drive thru twice 2 days in a row for 20+ minutes not to even have a word said over the speaker. CLOSE THIS STORE so something better can move in

Pulled up to a stall, nobody answered after 5 mins of hitting button. Only car in the lot! Went to drive thru and waited probably 15 mins for food. Food came and my limeade is just a sprite with some grenadine, forgot the sauce for both mozzarella sticks and ketchup for onion rings, and they are all over cooked. It’s pretty funny how bad they can mess up with 1 car at the restaurant.

Just close this location already. Always an issue with the basics. Made a very easy order in the drive thru, only one other customer at the location at at least 4 employees working. 20 min later order still isn’t ready and then I got attitude when I asked for a refund. Employees were too busy jerking around and cursing each other out to work.

The one time I actually decide to get food from sonic I’m waiting at the drive thru speaker for about 15 minutes after seeing the car in front of me actually have someone speak to them. Finally after becoming more and more impatient I drive up to the window and immediately get asked by a rude lady what can I get for you I ask if something was wrong with the speaker and all she said was sorry that happened to you what can I get for you disregarding what I asked I said I had a mobile order for pick up and she proceeded to say sorry you will have to come inside for that so I ask I have to come in after waiting for 15 minutes at your drive thru and she said it’s policy so I said ok I walk in and all the staff have they’re backs turned standing around and no one acknowledges me at all for three minutes until someone casually walks over and says”what’s up” is this how we run restaurants? Because that’s a joke as someone with 13 years of experience in the field this is a joke I he my order and I get home half the food is cold and the other half is incorrect don’t give me no bullshit “I’m sorry we disappointed you Jay!” Fix your location or fix your staff this is unacceptable and I will not be coming back people do not eat here this is a joke

Who doesn’t love a cherry limeade? I appreciate that I can customize my order, hold the cherry fruit, please, and love that they are half-price on the app!!!
I’m going to say it because it’s true, the Groovy Fries are wayyy better than the fries at the golden arches. (So is the Signature Sauce!)
