The service is always been slow. I don’t really blame them. It’s a busy place one day. I didn’t have all cash and I asked if I can just do have cash have credit. She sat there and stared at me for a good second saying nothing and then she says. “ we don’t do split payments ” in one of the ugliest tones we ended up just walking to Shipleys and getting more food than we would’ve got at sonic for the same price

I pulled up to the drive-thru and the associate told me to wait, so I did. I sat there for about 10 minutes with no update. I eventually had to drive around to a carhop stall and let the associate know I had already been waiting. She told me she forgot I was there, yet they took the order of the car behind me as I was pulling away.
I went ahead and placed my order anyway and waited another 10–15 minutes. No one ever came out to my car for payment or to update me on my food. After all that waiting, I ended up leaving, and I will not be stopping at this location again.

I had a really frustrating experience at this Sonic. The location was basically empty with very few customers, yet the service was extremely slow and unorganized. I ordered through the drive-thru and had to repeat my order three to four times because the employee kept asking the same questions over again.
Even after all that, my order was still incorrect. I had already left, realized the mistake, came back, explained the issue, and then had to wait even longer for it to be fixed. In total, I spent close to 45 minutes just trying to get a simple fast-food order right, which is disappointing—especially when the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.
I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this experience stood out. This location seriously needs better training, better communication, and more attention to customers. With improved management and staff focus, this place could do much better.

Closing five minutes early is frustrating, especially when I rushed to get there just to order a drink, which typically takes only a moment to prepare. The manager on duty was extremely rude during the interaction. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this behavior from her. I previously worked for Sonic for many years and am familiar with company standards, which makes this especially disappointing. I will be reaching out to corporate to report the situation, as this level of customer service is unacceptable. Went here for drinks and it took them 20 minutes to bring them out. I asked the manager to let our toddler use their restroom since they took so long and she absolutely refused. There was a restroom that could have been accessed without going through the kitchen and she absolutely refused. Ridiculous for drinks to take so long.

Very disappointed with the service at this Sonic on Dulles Avenue. I waited over 15 minutes just for someone to take my order. The employee kept telling me to “hold on,” even though there was only one car in front of me and three workers clearly visible inside. No one seemed in a rush to help. Terrible experience — I ended up leaving without even ordering.

“Ordered and paid for two shakes on the app, but when I got to the stall, I was told the machine was broken. Getting a refund was a total nightmare because the staff said they ‘couldn’t do it at the window’ and I had to contact corporate. Don’t let the app take people’s money for items that aren’t even available. Check the machine before you take the order!”
