I’d say about 1 in every 5 trips they actually do a good job with the ice cream. Otherwise it’s always over cooked food or under delivered quality and portions. Order extra candy and there’s a normal amount of candy. Order a large fries and get a medium fry in a large container spread out so it fills the box with 1 layer. It’s like obvious shrinkflation with still inflated prices. The sad part is out of 2 sonics within a few miles from my house this is still the good one. This entire chain has taken a nose dive.

This is for Jake at this location. He has very bad customer service tried to charge me twice for caramel in my coffee and one time for vanilla cause I said I want an extra caramel. I already paid for extra caramel. Why would I be charged twice? he said because you want a lot that’s why I’m being charged extra because I wanna lie you’re gonna charge me twice because I want a lot is crazy And I told him the other girls they give me great customer service and make it for me. he says he gonna have a talk with them because they shouldn’t be doing that. I think they’re great. Customer service as a paying customer Jake, you suck as a person in customer service
If I come to the sonic and he is on the mic, I will not be ordering again

Ordered 2 chicken wraps with tomatoes,waited 30mintues the first time to have my wraps made wrong. I talked to manager on shift he fixed up some scrap tomatoes and threw them on. Then when my wife confronted him about it he wanted to catch an attitude and then proceeded to tell us that was the ones they use knowing my wife and I go to this Sonic everyday. So after a hour waiting for 4 tomato’s the wraps came out with cold chicken and very messy. I don’t recommend this Sonic anymore.

Stopped here before a drive back home. The location itself seemed old for a sonic. Like outdated, not vintage. I stopped in as i was in the middle of a mobile order. placed my order for over 25$ and tried to pay. Apple pay failed twice for me with errors i haven’t seen before but was prompted that my money would be returned to me in a week. This is a very weird experience (Background i work on app development for QSR like sonic). I knew there was nothing wrong with my card, but now being charged $50 and no food, i wanted to finish my order, so i placed it with a normal way through the app. That worked. But now im close too $80 deep on a quick two person order. The food came out fairly fast, no problem there, but the food itself was off. The bottom of my burger bun was kind of hard, like it was stale. i have never experienced that at a burger place before… The burger itself was ok, but what an off taste with a hard bottom bun. The fries i got were waayyy over cooked and like biting through crusty air. (and i like twice fried french fries so this maybe was 4 times fried?)
the mozzarella sticks were overcooked as well but a 6/10 on those. I got two other burgers for my daughter and she ate it no complaints other than they forgot the ketchup on them. They really were not that busy at 8:19 at night, so not sure why the quality of the food was so down hill.
i did have a notification later that night that the extra $50 in charges were refunded to my account, but still could take time with processing, but not too worried on that front. Also today trying to place an order in the app at another location and no prices where shown in the bag everything rigning up free… until i went back to menu and then back to bag. So something is amiss with their app although the last release was on october 29th and i have ordered their since then with no problem. They may have slowly rolled it out and that is why, but there are some issues with it. Im not knocking it,, because even the app im working on has its bugs at times… but overall was a mid experience at this location.

Absolutely insane that I could order $30 worth of food and not be able to get a side of honey mustard sauce without paying it’s just getting ridiculous the things they try to charge you for so not only are they already double the price they used to be but you are going to pay for every single sauce you want even if you order things that should automatically come with sauce on the side to dip it in like chicken tenders it’s ridiculous and for this reason why I do not eat drive-thru often.
Edit-I wrote this review when I was still waiting for my food and when I tell you I just got home and went to give my kids their food it’s all wrong instead of three Coney chili cheese dogs two of them were fries with chili cheese sauce and the absolute audacity of them to charge me for a honey mustard packet and literally give me a little packet of regular mustard is just unbelievable. Now I have to go all the way back up there to get the food that I paid for

This sonic has been my favorite go-to after work. I love that they’re open late. The servers are all super nice- the food is cheap and quick. Thankful for the night crew <3

This place always does really great with service and food. I don’t understand the negative reviews with service or anything. People have too many expectations for a place that is paying minimum wage which is why I always try and tip.

Ordered a drink, 10 minutes it still never came but the display showed on the way not to mention a car pulled in after we did and got their food before us…I love Sonic but I won’t be back at this one, sorry just being honest.

I went to the store with the address 2950 Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. I’m highly dissatisfied with my service and would like to be compensated for the emotional distress that I went through to go to the store as a paying patron. This experience makes me never want to go back to sonic and not recommended to any of my friends and family which is sad because I have had many good experiences with the sonic brand as a hole. Please rectify the situation immediately.
