Passing through Marksville early this morning we stopped at Sonic for breakfast. Big mistake. After struggling to place an order for a no. 14 with sausage and 16 with ham, one with fries and one with tots and a coke zero and unsweetened peach tea with 4 splenda’s, an order resembling ours was delivered. I ordered ham and got bacon. I ordered tots and got fries that were stale, cold and hard, obviously last night’s leftovers. Husband’s sausage was nonexistent and his fries were same as mine. All the fries were garbage and were thrown away. My tea was delivered…no Splenda and we needed to buy a large cup of ice. The server left so fast we didn’t even have time to tip her. So we called her back out, ask for the cup of ice and paid her, reminded her of the Splenda and tipped her. She brought the cup of ice…still no Splenda. I got out of the car and walked toward the door as she was coming out and asked for the Splenda. Finally got it. A really rough start to our morning after a really rough night. Next time, I guess it’s back to McDonald’s.

Wanted some ice cream, so I thought I would run to sonic for a treat. Get there and order a cookie dough blast for it to come out with a cup of vanilla ice cream and few cookie doughs on top. What happened to mixing it all up? If I wanted vanilla ice cream I would have went to the store!!! Then to pay over $5! Never again. Sonic do better!!

Drive thru is TERRIBLE! Only young kids work there other than the manager. Takes 4-ever to get food because they visit with friends that pull up to the window. I spoke to mgr about it and he was VERY rude! He listened to me and said “is that it?” Then said “I’ll speak to them”, he closed the window hard and walked away. Oh and check your food before you leave… I have driven off at least 2-3 times with something missing from my order. Youngsville sonic SUCKS!

Unfortunately, it took this location approximately 15 minutes to get my order out… Note that my order consisted of 1 corn dog and a bag of ice. By the time it was finally brought out to me, a sizable portion of the ice was melted. To their (and especially my carhop’s) credit, they did quickly apologize and replaced my now half-melted bag of ice with a fresh one, free of charge. My take-away: Food is good, but if you come at a busy time, don’t expect 5-star service…

Sonic has lost its American tradition of great food. I mean, burger was so cold, cheese wasn’t melted, the milk shake tasted like it was just chemicals and my truck smelled for a day from the grease they used on the fried food my wife ordered. And most of the screens here didn’t work, we tried like 4 before we found one. Service was good and friendly but still, food was very ehhh.

Food was good. Foot long hot dog, tots and a RT 44 drink. Service could have been a little better. No straw or napkins… Not going to keep calling for stuff while I’m trying to eat. I’ll make sure I ask for all of that to be in the bag when I order next time.
