worst time ever at sonic 2/22/26 5:38 pm we got here and when we order this lady comes out and she seems so ignorant once it gets to the drinks she gets all sassy because we misheard her and she was rushing us this whole time nobody was in here but us and drive thru was already covered, and I felt unsafe eating the food because in the kitchen her and her friend it looked like, they were laughing a little too hard before giving us our food. I have been to sonic for years and this has never happened ever I cant believe it to be honest sonic went from 5 stars to one for me.

I don’t leave reviews often but my experience was so awful it felt necessary. Staff was rude and my drink tasted like battery acid. I’m assuming the sprite ran out of syrup I had to dump it out. My husband got a lemonade based drink and it was so extremely sweet he also could not drink his. Very disappointing as we only came for drinks this was a complete waste of money as nothing was able to be consumed. I noticed a review for the same time we went 2/22 at 5:00pm. This seems to be an issue with the staff on but I know I’ll never be returning.

First time here. My wife wanted me to try it. Dr Pepper slushy was very disappointing The food was average. The employee was very nice & seemed to be the only person working. I felt bad for him. Hopefully more items will be available next time

Our order was quick, only a drink was forgotten but we dined in so we easily asked for it at the counter. Very generous on the condiments. Clean all around. Staff was courteous.

Drinks are always good. Food is another story. Worst burgers I’ve ever tasted. Chicken tenders thin as paper. Thought a new owner would help with the food but hadn’t. Service is also slow depending on who’s working, I feel like sometimes it’s one person doing everything cause I’ll see the same person doing all the running around.

Horrible experience. We went today at 8:40pm and ordered 3 shakes. The lady that was passing us our drinks didn’t hand the shake to us properly which led to us having to grip the cup and the cup broke and shake went all over the place. She remade the shake but made sure to let us know that “You poked a hole in the cup when you grabbed it so you messed up the shake and not me”

Sonic in DeKalb had painfully slow service, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. It felt intentional, with staff not attending properly. After waiting 20–25 minutes for my order, the food finally arrived and was extremely disappointing—overpriced and barely edible for the money.

We stopped in after an event in town, so it was close to closing and they were slammed. Despite that, the employees were super friendly and moving quickly. Our food was hot and fresh and our order was correct!

If I can give them a zero starts out of ten then I would. I can’t believe that I’ve been standing here in the hot lobby waiting to be served a single corn dog and a medium blue raspberry slushy. You would not believe how long it took me to receive my order on a slow day. It took over 30 minutes!! I left there absolutely furious in the fact that took so long for something so fast and simple to make. I hope you take my advice of not going to sonic of dekalb and instead go to any of the other fast food areas around unless you would like to have your time wasted. One thing I should add though is that the cashier was very nice. It’s the cooks that need to stop standing around talking, and instead do what they are getting paid to do. This place would be great if only they had a strong affirmative manager.
