So I thought I would give sonic another try since moving to Ankeny and it’s a different one. Thought maybe I would have luck with this one but not at all. Very pregnant and all I want was a chili dog, bc it actually sounded appetizing, well got not even half way through and had to stop as I found hair. I felt gross after eating it, made me not want food. These restaurants need to start making employees wear hair nets not ball caps

Sorry for specifics. Around 530 on March 3rd I ordered a door dash and a normal cherry slush wasn’t available. I called to ask them to change the cherry limeade that i ordered to a regular cherry slush. Not only did the manager respond happily and helpfully, but he called me back to make sure the order was correct. Excellent manager and excellent service.

So unfortunate, We used to love sonic. Today , the staff, food quality, and general customer service was out the window. The staff was rude. Order was wrong. Food we did get was cold. I have heard the service at this location has gone down hill. But oh my. I am not sure how they stay open. The lady working was so rude and nasty , I overheard a customer ask for a receipt. The lady working was so rude and nasty about it. I understand sometimes people are hard to deal with , but the response of the staff, was very unnecessary. I was in the next stall. I was blown away. I was scared to even say something about my food. They would probably split in it. Never again, will I stop here. So unprofessional . And it wasn’t even that busy. I sure hope people who work in customer service understand. Sometimes you should take the high road. Not say and do what I witnessed today. And the lady , was in management talking to guests that way. I would hate to see how she treats the staff. Really would just recommend staying away from this location

It was our first visit to the local Sonic. We had 2 restaurants where we lived in New Mexico. Used to go all the time for their specials. Still learning what the specials are here and years later.
We tried their breakfast burritos. Both were good, so were their tots.

We parked in the drive up. It took about 10 minutes for someone to answer the call for the order. There were four cars in the Drive-Thru. I got out to use the restroom and as I walked by everybody looked depressed out of their mind inside. When I went to the restroom the door handle and the door were discussingly dirty greasy nasty. The floor was greasy in the entryway to the two restrooms and all four doors were greasy nasty and have not been cleaned in probably 2 to 3 years. So the bathroom was what I expected. Also greasy and dirty. It stunk. The food was mediocre. You could tell that the oil was old. The burger was undercooked and cold. The toppings were old and sloppy. And as expected it did not digest well. I threw the tater tots out the window on the way home because I ate one and they were gross because the oil was old. Probably the worst food I have ever gotten from Sonic and I have been to sonics all over the country. I don’t blame the kids that were working there. I blamed the management that I did not see if you’re going to hire kids to run your business. At least have someone there old enough to take care of the business and make sure the quality of the food stays good.

We ordered cheddar bites and watched the girl working the window eat them out of the bag, the large bag we ordered was half empty when we received them, also the onions on the garlic butter burger was supposed to be grilled onions on it and there were not, as well as our cherry limeade and cranberry limeade was mostly sprite. When the girl brought out our food she didn’t say a word to us until she said oh here’s your receipt and walked away.

we were waiting for an hour, took so long to get us our food and when they came they had dropped a burger and even forgot our DIRTY dr pepper. we successfully secured the rest of our food after a while of waiting. food wasn’t warm. the person on the speaker didn’t sound very pleasant and just rude. probably won’t come here again.

Sonic is such a fun place to hang out and eat. I was impressed with the mozzarella sticks, they weren’t like many other places who’s mozzarella sticks are subpar or overcooked. The chili cheese fries were amazing but came in a fairly small portion size. The sweet tea was probably the best sweet tea I have had from any fast food restaurant and don’t even get me started on the ice. It’s been two hours and we’re still drinking our 44 ounce

Ordered from here several times. Never have any bad experiences from this location. We especially like their breakfast menu options and slush drinks. As far as a wait time is concerned, we do typically have to wait but usually it’s no more than 15 minutes. To me, that’s expected when they are always packed with customers.

I used to love this place and we use to come quite often since we live close by. I order a combo with fries and for my surprise after I eat some of my fries I grab one that was one that was covered in MOLD!!!!!! At first I thought it was a green fried or maybe was burn, but no it was actual mold….Tbh I don’t even know how to feel about this I’m shock about the fact they are selling food that has gone bad.. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick now!!! Definitely not coming back to this place anymore.
