I ordered lunch for me and my family through the app. I arrived, pulled into stall 3 which (per the photo) you can see is directly in front of the door. I checked into that parking spot on the app. 45 minutes go by and no one brings me my food. They were very busy in the drive thru so I tried to be patient but eventually I’m going to be late to work. I have to wave down a worker to go check on it. He comes back and tells me that a woman came to the door to pick up and because she didn’t speak English they assumed she was me and gave her my order, despite me being parked right there. What’s the point of checking into the stall on the app if workers are going to completely ignore that and just hand my order to whoever walks up? They remade my order and upsized my drinks which was nice, but it took an additional 15 minutes, making my total time spent here an hour.

I live a couple of blocks away from this restaurant and I’ve tried to give them more than one opportunity for Speedy service. Today I waited in excess of 20 minutes for a pretzel and a sweet tea that I ordered online and came to the mobile pickup stall number two to get my order. After 20 minutes I knocked on the door and asked them where my order was and I was told that it was on the way. The app clearly states that it’s a 5-minute wait to pick up an order from the time we park to pick it up. After a few more minutes a staff member came outside with multiple orders on one tray and delivered them to each of four different cars. This is a consistent service failure at this location. I will purposely go out of my way to go to any other Sonic within a couple of miles of my house in order to not have to wait 20 minutes for such a small order. I will also be contacting ownership and Sonic corporate office for compensation. Every time I’ve asked why things are so slow, they are telling me that the drive-thru window is way too busy and they are understaffed. Management needs to fix this. Every time I have come here I see employees outside smoking at the tables, standing outside the building smoking, they move very slow at this location and it’s just a bunch of lies and excuses on why they are so lazy at their job.

I pulled in at 8:30 to stall 1 to mobile order 2 milkshakes and 2 slushes to take home to my family. I placed the order at 8:31, and it said the order would be ready at 8:36. The whole while a bunch of your employees were standing around mingling with the cars laughing and smoking and ignoring everything else. At 8:53 I still hadn’t gotten anything and honestly was wishing I had driven off except I’d already paid. I finally went to to door and someone begrudgingly asked what I had so I showed them my order and they said “oh” and went inside and grabbed a drink holder full of my 4 drinks that had obviously been sitting as the milkshakes were visibly melted. I’d have asked them to be remade but I was afraid that would take 20 minutes also. So disappointed in this Sonic. I won’t be back.

Placed a mobile order for 3 sonic blasts and waited 25 minutes after arriving in the mobile pickup spot before we finally received them. Meanwhile we saw multiple employees going out to smoke while we waited. This seems to happen more often than not at this location. We’ll be spending our hard earned money elsewhere from now on. If you want your food in a timely manner, don’t visit this location.

Time to find out how to report this place. Omg.. just.. don’t eat here. Remember as well, it is always a reflection of the management and owners. They are in charge of training. The man working tonight was so friendly and fast, he deserves a raise!! the young lady was short and extremely rude for no reason… can’t believe the man was so cheerful and friendly when he has to work with her all day. I’ve worked the same jobs so there’s really no excuse. I got two very burnt grilled cheeses, stone cold bbq seasoned tots, except they weren’t “seasoned” they were coated in wet bbq sauce…?? Why?? My sons food was burnt as well. He just ate a hole in his toast and moved on. Wasted our hard earned money on bad food AND the lady was rude??? This place is awful. We go to sonic all the time, but not this one and we will NEVER spend money here again. $40 down the drain.

Please explain why I waited 17 minutes for two drinks that I preordered on the freaking app. They are horrible with service and getting things out. This location has zero sense of urgency. We had to ask for our drinks in order to get them. I’m curious to know how much longer I would have had to wait for TWO PREPAID DRINKS had we not asked!
This is a recurrent issue here. Not to mention the fact that we come sometimes and the food is cold! Like it’s just been sitting in the window forever. Do better.

I ordered a couple of milkshakes for my son and I, both were melted and soupy. The last couple times I’ve been to this location the food quality was not good so I should have known better than to go there. Lesson learned. I won’t be back.

So tired of ordering from this place and in a hurry cuz i have kids. Then to get home and see it is always one of two things!!! They either didnt get the entire order or they are missing something from the entire order. I havent been there in a while now where the order is just correct!!!. I am in part to blame because I drove away but truth be told do your job and people shouldn’t have to verify that you did do your job!!! For that the rating is low because this is an on going thing!!!

Has to be the worst sonic in Knoxville. My hamburger was cold. They gave me a large dr pepper with such a big chunk of ice in it i couldn’t get the straw in. So I press the stall button to tell them I want another one for them to tell me to pull around to the drive thru and they will fix it. So I have to go wait behind other cars for my drink instead of them bringing it out.

Love the food and drinks, but my gosh, they move at an absolute glacial pace. It doesn’t matter the time of day or how busy it is, you might as well plan 20 extra minutes to get the order to you. Unfortunately, it’s not just this location. This isn’t a store problem; it’s a franchise problem. Also, the app is terrible.
