This was an awful experience!! It was 8:30 Monday night, very few customers. We ordered a 3 piece chicken combo, a crispy chicken combo & a crispy chicken sandwich. We waited at least 10 minutes. They brought 1 napkin with that much food. My tenders were not warm & they were hard. The sandwiches had no tomatoes on them and no lettuce on one of them, just pickles. We ask to see a manager who looked like he wasn’t even out of high school. He ask if we wanted the sandwiches remade, my husband said I just want what I ordered. He agreed that the tenders weren’t fresh. He took our food and said he’d write it off. We waited another 10 minutes before they brought the sandwiches out. He said he checked them and they were right. But, there were no pickles on them. I was told it’d be another 3 minutes on fresh tenders, he said they were trying to send old ones out again. By the time I got my food I was ready to go so I took it with me. They did apologize & offer us free refills or a milkshake. We said no. They did give us pup cups for our dogs. I just wanted good service & food. As we were leaving, a bunch of high schoolers showed up. The manager came out, he said “I need some fresh air” and he sat down with them. He needs to spend more time with his employees showing them how to serve what’s on the menu. We will not be going back!!

What a shame. I usually enjoy sonic drive in. Today was another experience all together. Waited almost 15 minutes before anyone answered after pressing the red button. I was about to leave when someone finally answered cool so I placed my order that took 20 minutes to get a burger, cheddar peppers and a drink. My burger bun was very soggy. Thought about sending it back but didn’t want to wait another 30 mins to get another. $16 for that order by the way!

I love Sonic. I truly believe their burgers are great and I go to different ones all the time. That being said, I went to Sonic in Dover yesterday and I was dismayed to see that they are pre-preparing the burgers. This means that they put the hot meat on the bun, put the condiments, pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes on the hot meat and then wrap them in aluminum and let them stand until they’re ordered. In an effort to speed up your meal, your hamburger is not made fresh which means a soggy smashed down bun, wilted lettuce, and wilted smashed down tomatoes. Truly truly disgusting and horribly DISAPPOINTING. Come on, Dover Sonic, you can do better!

This Sonic has gone downhill hard. I moved here three years ago and this place was good. I ate shakes here and sometimes lunch or dinner. However, since about Summer of last year the quality has greatly declined. For example, today I bought mozz sticks and chicken tenders. Overall it cost me over $11, which is insane. They brought the food out to me in under 5 minutes which is nice except the food wasn’t. My tenders are barely bigger than the sauce pack (one of which was cut into and unusable). These cost me nearly $5.50 and my mozz sticks are all cold and old (costing nearly the same as the tenders).
