The staff here were extremely rude. I came in for food on March 3rd 2026 at 8:40pm. I was trying to explain i was here for a pickup through the app but the person on the speaker of the stall was being extremely rude. He was being sassy and treating me like i was stupid for letting him know that i was there since “you’ve already checked in you really don’t need to do that” in a very judgy tone. The person who brought out my food was perfect. Not very overly friendly but he was not not rude at all. My main issue was the person talking on the speaker, i’m guessing it was the manager just because of the sass in the voice. I don’t think a regular employee would be acting so rude. I’ve not come here in years but i didn’t think the customer service would be so bad. Next time explain things in a way that’s not belittling and maybe try and sound like you don’t hate everything around you!!! It’s not that hard i promise 😉

My family has gone to this sonic probably 6 times in the past year and everytime we’ve been told they closed early there short staffed etc! We went tonight for literally 1 slushie my kids and I got milkshakes from dairy queen I told my hubby it was a bad idea he should know at this point how bad this location sucks well he really wanted this slushie we went and she says she’s literally working alone with no help abunch of cars sitting with no answers we sat there 25 min with no response I told my hubby it was ridiculous we didn’t need to wait any longer for a drink if it was one time okay but it’s every single time we go long story short we went back to dairy queen and got a slushie there they need to hire better people or shut this place down period it’s a joke

Always great food. Service is always super slow. I ordered on the app. Five minutes after checking in at the stall it said my food was on the way. 10 minutes later I had to press the red button on the stall to ask for my order threat never arrived. I will say Sonic is clearly going down. I remember fast friendly service, but now customers seem to be an inconvenience to the employees and the food is okay at best.

Food was ok and the order was right which is the only reason there’s a 3 involved. Could not use kiosk, had to go through drive thru even though it was dead. The girl took my payment and literally said NOTHING to me. Like, nothing. Not hello, receipt, thanks, nothing. My daughter had ordered a cherry slushie and it wasn’t even mixed together, she had to open it, use her straw and the tater tot Fork mix it together. It was a big blob of cherry slushie in the center of the ice. They didn’t even mix it. The girl handed our food to us and shut the window, I didn’t realize at first that was it. Incredibly weird, rude and not acceptable for a food service person.
I’ve never rated Sonic before, but this is about the third or fourth interaction that we’ve had there that was not good. Usually the order is wrong, staff is always rude, I think we will have to go elsewhere in the future. Too many other good options. Stinks because we’ve always liked Sonic as a treat.

slowest food on earth. i think it would be faster if the employees drove to a farm to butcher the animals themselves to prepare the food and brought it back. this place used to actually be busy, instead of just a line of people waiting 30 minutes for a hot dog.

It blows my mind that the sonic employees in winder ga think it is okay to have a conversation for 20 + minutes inside while people wait for there food or drinks and you have cars wrapped around waiting to order food. It is ridiculous I had to wait 20 minutes for 2 drinks. And there were people there before me that were still waiting. The service sucks. Get better customer service.

I hate leaving 1 star reviews, because I know what its like working in the food industry. But its gotten so bad that I need to say something. The past 5 times.. 5. Times. I have gone to grab lunch really quick on my break and I wait for 30+ minutes just to place an order (because normally im very patient when it comes to restaurants). The past 3 times, I had to leave after 30-45 minutes of sitting there, pressed the red button 2+ times each time when the screen shut off, and nothing comes through the intercom.
Today, I went to one stall, nobody responded to the button press, screen went back to the main page, so I switched stalls, and the same thing happened. The few times I did actually get food, my drink was flat, they gave me a second one and it was the wrong drink (someone else’s because I overheard the person next to me, i ordered a diet soda and they gave me their normal dr pepper with vanilla), they were out of beef so I couldn’t order a burger, asked for tater tots but they were out, tried ordering the jalapeno popper things but their fryers werent working (all different occasions) etc etc. 2 years ago this specific sonic was great, but the past year specifically its gotten so bad that I just avoid going to it in general due to technical difficulties, VERY slow service and wrong orders. If youre needing a quick bite on your lunch break, this is NOT the place to go.

Took 20 min in the drive in bay and some popped out halfway thru that time to ask if we’d pressed the button. “Yeah, about 10 min ago when I placed my order.” We had 2 cheese sticks in the order and they came without sauce which we had to wait another 3 min for as well as a fork for a sad chilicheese tatertot that was supposed to be a med in size and came out with 10 tots. The tots and cheese sticks were my only order, my two kids got burger meals which were right. We received no napkins or condiments of any kind. I really don’t think tips should go before the service because I tipped generously and got crap service.

I remember when the Winder Sonic opened and it was good food and a good time. Those times are long gone. Had to wait 10 minutes at the drive thru microphone and when the woman said anything it was only “Sonic…” I asked are you ready and she yelled “NO!” Had to wait 30 minutes for corn dogs after paying. The place looks like a bunch of Bikers had a fight there and nothing was ever repaired. Forget about ever using the Sonic app here and so I am deleting that app, and this will be the last time I ever go to this location. So do yourself a favor and try Dairy Queen across the street because the Winder Sonic is pure trash…trash food and trash staff.
