This Sonic is an embarrassment to the good reputation the Sonic brand once had. The name is based off service being served at supersonic speeds, but snails would be faster here. What happened to the days of service with cheerful car hops on roller skates? And the delicious Limeades that make the painful wait worthwhile? They have been degraded! They used to be fresh and refreshing. Now they taste artificial. Clearly the recipe has been tampered with to make a profit. I’m willing to pay more and wait for good quality, but I will NOT pay more and wait longer than I would at a sit down restaurant, just to be served garbage after the fifth time I have to push the red button to remind them that they still haven’tserved me yet! I’ve learned my lesson. I enjoyed Sonic in my youth, but I will never return again. Most regrettable…

We visited Boiling Springs last weekend and stopped by Sonic for dinner. We ordered the cheeseburger combo and 2 chicken bite combos, with tater tot’s and mozzarella sticks. The food came out quick. Unfortunately the chicken bites seemed old with some hard bites. Our other food was good. The staff was great but won’t be back for the food. We have a Sonic in Raleigh which is way better.

Placed a Door Dash order, for large Coke, Medium Mozzarella Sticks and a Large Chili Cheese Tots. Order arrived in a bag smaller than my Large Coke. The bag was sealed, and I checked prior to my Dasher leaving and all I had received were the Mozzarella Sticks and my Large Coke. The bag clearly stated an order of Large Chili Cheese tots, however they were not included. Sonic on East Main has many downfalls, to slow service to not being waited on at all. They should learn to do better!

Horrible wait. Waited over ten minutes at the drive through to not even be able to order yet, no one in front of us. Went to a pull in spot, just for a man to get on the speaker and say they were only doing drive through. That they only had two workers, even though I could visibly see more than two people inside.

Tried to order but they didn’t have smasher sauce. Order something else. 25 minutes they informed us no chili for the hot dogs. 35 minutes later received order. Cold fries, cheese sticks with no cheese, slightly stale bun. Not a good experience at all.

Edit: We returned Christmas Eve 2025 for slushies. No one seems to know how to make basic drinks on their menu! Ordered a coco berry cream (it shows strawberries in it), got a plain coconut cream slush. Also ordered a Powerade slushie with nerds and it was mostly just ice with Powerade. None of it tasted good either 🙁 “under new mgmt” apparently but that hasn’t helped them!

They can barely get the order correct. And I believe if u don’t get a special order like just mayonnaise and ketchup your product is been sitting in the warmer for hours. Which ruins the quality. I want the old sonic back

Every time I go here it takes forever to get my food. I went through thr drive through and they forgot my sauce and gave us the wrong soda. Didn’t have time to go get it fixed because it took almost 20 mins to get through the line.

The customer service has always been great here, but every time you order ice cream prepare for waiting a long time. Also, anytime you ask for extra toppings, they act like it’s being taken out of their paycheck. Even though you get charged! The food seems fresh every time, which is why I gave 3 stars.

Went here after a late dinner & movie. Soooooooo glad it was open because nothing else was on the East Side apparently. Was able to get an awesome cookie dough blast & try their RedBull slush, that was GREAT too! Super fast service like always. Love how I can use my app and get extra discounts too!
