It took them a while to get the order and then get the food ready, but the food was fine. The fries were only half full. Their outside benches are the most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever sat on.

We ordered the garlic butter bacon cheese burger, it has bacon cheese and grilled onions. There were no grilled onions ( it had raw onions instead) and a 1/8 slice of bacon. It did taste good, but I had to take off the raw onions. We also ordered a double sonic smasher, which tasted good but a good portion of the cheese was off and melted on the box. The server was nice when she came out, but I had to go back and ask for a fork The chili cheese fries tasted good. Also they didn’t have the lights on so it was dark at the sitting area even though people were sitting.

I rarely leave a negative review, but this business is so badly managed that it needs to be closed. Avoid at ALL COSTS. Do not be enticed by “deals” or “half-priced drinks.” I have a sample of 3 really poor evening visits to this Sonic, each time worse than the last, so this is NOT a one off thing. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but I won’t do it again for sure.

Instead of serving food, employees sit inside looking at their phones and eating. They also yell at each other with profanity. This results in nobody answering the drive through line and food service being extraordinarily slow. I literally have never had a worse experience at a fast food restaurant.

With no exaggeration, I waited 45 min for a small mobile order that I could not cancel through the app (I would have cancelled after being ignored for the first 20 min at the drive through box). The only reason it did not take MORE than 45 min was that myself and the car ahead of me approached the window on foot to ask what was happening.

Once the employees were pressured by us standing there, they took another 10 min to get our orders. Mine was incorrect and missing an item. The ice cream was melted as if it had been dispensed and sat for 20 or 30 min.

Please, for the love of God, do not reward a franchise owner that manages this poorly by giving him/her your patronage. We as the free market need to erase businesses like this or they will ALL become like this.

Took too long for drinks to be brought out and onion rings tasted funny. Asked for tots for one of my meals and got fries. Won’t be coming back. They was not busy at all

Food is good, but too expensive for the quality. Employees are 50/50 sometimes nice and rude at other times. Outdoor parking speakers need to be updated and have poor sound quality.

The sonic in conover/Newton North Carolina does not want to give the correct change my food cost 10.69 I paid with a 20 the car hop only gave me 9 back I had to ask for my 31 cents this isn’t the first time it’s been about a year since I ate there I used to eat there quite a bit the last time I ate there I called the corporate office to let them know about it then they got better about it then but they went right back to not giving out the coin change

This is the worst choice for somewhere to eat in Newton. The service,, is the worst. Last time I tried the drive thru nobody even answered. Hopefully it will close down soon. We need some better choices. This place is terrible. Come on by. You will see.

Placed our mobile order at 5:58 and didn’t receive our food until 6:38. The drive thru people received their food quickly while every car waiting in the mobile order spots had been waiting over 30 min. My drink was filled to the top with ice even though I ordered easy ice since I can’t have cold drinks due to sensitive teeth. I only had a few sips of my drink before it was gone. My tater tots were also room temperature instead of warm.

Worst place ever. We sat at the order station for 20 minutes for them to ask us “how can I help you” TWICE and when we would start ordering, we would get no response after. Finally we drove around to the drive through (we were the only one in line) and said “hello” multiple times. After 15-20 min they finally offered to take our order. There is no organization on ordered and cooperate obviously does not care because every review on here mentions how slow the service is. It’s crazy! The staff has no urgency and I get its fast food but we got here at 7:05pm and it’s 7:50 and haven’t even gotten our food yet. This is ridiculous. They should close down honestly like all other sonics around if they aren’t going to have decent staff and an urgency to help customers. We just saw 2 people pull right up to the windows and order immediately after pressing the buttons so I’m a little confused. We asked for the manager and spoke to her and explained we have seen at least 5 staff members and we should be at least told “hey, we will be right with you” but no. We got no communication. It was by far the worst customer service. The girl who brought our food was sweet and the manager offered a refund (which we didn’t take) but she looked no older than early 20’s and she said she just got the headset which should’ve been addressed sooner. The customer behind us reached out her window to complain as well. Something should be done or it should close down.
