We just went through the drive-thru here and hit a massive pothole that popped our tire. When we told the manager, she just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do even though it’s clearly their fault for not maintaining the drive-thru. While we were stuck in the parking lot putting on the spare, she actually came outside, huffed at us, and walked away without offering help. To top it off, she still charged me for the drink after everything.
What’s worse is we sat here long enough to see another customer almost blow out their tire on the exact same pothole. This is dangerous, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I have photos and will be sharing them as well.

We just ordered take out and I got a chilli cheese dog and cheddar peppers. It was cold to the touch and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Does the owner even care?

This is beyond disgusting and wild that the people who made this thought this is okay to give out. I understand it’s fast food and night time and I never written a review in my life. But this is the second time something like this happened with this place, first there was a bunch of hair and even a bug. Now this time, the meat is completely burnt. I can’t even eat it. I took two bites and it was completely hard as a rock. I ripped it apart to try the middle and still, hard. Completely way overcooked. I would never come here or order from here again. And it’s clearly been out sitting and not fresh at all. It’s a simple cheeseburger, how do you even mess that up.

Nice customer service and the food came out quickly and hot. Reese’s Sonic Blast came out with just the right consistency. Server asked if we needed anything else and was courteous. Overall, it was a great drive-in diner experience.

We had a disappointing experience at the Gloucester, VA Sonic (7060 George Washington Memorial Hwy) on June 30th around 12:15 p.m. My husband ordered a hamburger, and it was cold in the center—not lukewarm, but actually cold, like it had been refrigerated and only partially reheated.
When we asked for assistance, a woman who appeared to be a manager came to the car. I explained the issue, but she brushed it off, saying it had been “made a little while ago,” and walked off saying they’d make another—no apology, no concern, no check of the food. We left without accepting a replacement because we no longer trusted what we’d be served.
To make things worse, any response by this location or Sonic corporate that directs customers to the Sonic website is useless. The automated chat replied with a generic, canned message:
“Thank you for your patience regarding your experience. We’ve documented your experience thoroughly and escalated this matter to the attention of our management team…”
Then—silence.
Only after I mentioned filing complaints with the BBB and health department did I get offered a measly coupon… for more potentially unsafe food. Pathetic.
The dismissive attitude, lack of accountability, and food safety concerns here are seriously troubling.

Ordered cheesy bacon stack with only mustard and ketchup. Verified twice that it was only those condiments. It arrived with mayo and onions also. Also ordered a grilled cheese. It was bread, but not grilled. Total was $ 11.23. I gave the server a twenty and .23. Should have gotten $9.00 back. I got $10 back. Good thing. Couldn’t eat much of the burger. Will never come here again.

As someone who has been to multiple different sonics in different states and areas, this sonic is the best i’ve been to by a long shot. The food is always prepared very well and the service has always been good but today was the cherry on top! I forgot to ask her name but lady with short hair was just the nicest employee i’ve met there, she definitely deserves a raise! But overall 10/10, and as someone who worked in food service for 5+ years, most of the negative reviews look like the rude, demanding and needy customers that make working in the industry mentally exhausting!
