Song Restaurant is an excellent spot for Chinese food! The wontons are flavorful and perfectly prepared, but the real star is their fried rice—it’s easily the best I’ve had. Every bite is fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic and delicious Chinese dishes!

I was famish and so felt like eating soup dumplings. Remember that I had walk by this location before and so I wanted to try their soup dumplings. I have to say they are very good and I order the pork and shrimp dumplings separately. And also had their special rice in which it’s call something else but anyway it was delicious and the scallion veggie roll pancakes. I was indeed happy I decided to visit for dinner was not disappointed at all. I recommend everyone to try them is in when looking for something not American. This was on a Monday, therefore, it’s a little less crowded. But indeed go try their soup dumplings

1st local Chinese restaurant that I dined in. Spacious inside, cozy… food arrived in a timely manner. Food was delicious and I’ll definitely be back soon. Pancake with Twice Cooked Pork was amazing. The Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings were nice as well. I can’t wait to visit them again. As usual West Hartford parking isn’t the greatest but we were ok.

While passing through a charming little town West Hartford, I found a unique and delightful Asian Song restaurant. The service was good, and the menu was simple, offering noodles, rice, and some authentic Chinese appetizers . The soup had a light flavor, and the xiao long bao_ soup dumplings, although not the best I’ve ever had, were still pretty good. Overall, the food was quite tasty. The waiter was nice, adding a special touch to the lunch experience.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while, since I’ve been seeing great reviews about it. They’re on LaSalle St. which is a busy road with a ton of restaurants and shops in West Hartford. We were able to find on-street metered parking nearby. We got there for lunch and was able to get a table outside. The service was quick and friendly.
We started off with the crispy pork nuggets ($8) which were super crispy and delectable; it came with sweet hoison sauce and chili flakes for dipping. We also ordered steamed chicken soup dumplings ($9); this came with a sweet soy dipping sauce. I thought this was just okay, there wasn’t much soup in it. Next time, I want to try out their chengdu dumplings ($9). We were hungry so we asked the waiter for recommendations and he said braised beef pancake roll ($11) and boy, that was a good recommendation. It was a flaky roll with beef and sweet hoison sauce.
Now my main entree was the Dan Dan noodles ($8). They mixed it at the table for me; it had noodles, ground pork, spicy sauce, and baby bok choy. Wow, I can eat a gallon of that lol, 5 stars all the way for that. My husband had the Roujiamo Chinese burger and he said it was okay. Overall, the food was 4.5 stars and the service and ambiance was 5 stars, so I rounded it to 5 stars total. I look forward to going back and trying out some more menu items!

Nice place to try if you want some real, traditional Chinese food in West Hartford, Connecticut. My photos will tell you the detail quality of the food. If you only like Panda Express style Chinese food, this might be your best option.

Quite possibly the best Asian noodle dish I’ve ever had. The twice cooked pork belly was insanely delicious and the fresh pasta combined with the spices was on another level.
