My husband, sister and brother-in-law and I came here a few weeks ago for dinner and it was soooo good. We previously had a great experience at Thurman downtown, so we knew we’d have a similarly awesome time at this spot. The food was delicious and service was awesome! For apps we split the garlic parmesan and buffalo wings, along with the fried pickles and we were all very happy with these choices. The burgers are (obviously) the stars of the show but I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich and my sister liked the cheese pizza thin too. We also enjoyed the overall vibe of the place and clearly the local folks do as well. My husband and I, who live locally, will be back soon!

The wife wanted a good cheese burger for mothers day so we tried this place out. We weren’t disappointed, and the burgers were awesome. With this being our first time we tried the original and holy cow, it was huge. The flavor was awesome, and even the kids liked the burgers. I like to try onion rings wherever I go, and the rings here are worth it. The place had great service, and the Tempe was just right.We will be back.

Simply the best burger in Ohio. And the staff here are so friendly, so we keep coming back. And the portions are so large, I always take home half for lunch the next day! Pictured with this review is the Thurman Burger. My other go-to is the A1 Burger. And don’t skip the fries, they’re fantastic!

Perfect experience! Friendly staff and patient as we tried to narrow down our choices. The chicken salad was fresh and plentiful- burgers are huge and enough fries to share.
The Location is easy to get in and out of and we don’t have to drive too far to get there. Great addition to this area for sure.

Quirky, laid back hamburger joint in a quaint area of Galena. The burgers are HUGE, the fries are cooked perfectly and the cheese dip and house made tortilla chips are the bomb! Great music and friendly staff make for a fun experience. Only complaint is that it was c-o-l-d in there.

After reading some of negative reviews, I was hesitant to eat here but I was surprised. The cheeseburger was actually good. I like my burgers well done and I was very pleased that it came out this way despite the patty being so large. It wasn’t dried out. In fact it looked greasy but didn’t taste greasy which was unexpected. We got the Big 3 cheeseburger and we chose the pepper jack, American and cheddar cheese.
The fries were big fries and just okay to me. I think I would have liked them if they were fresh and not quite so cooked. They were dry but edible.
Something I definitely did not expect was a $2.99 share plate fee. I had never heard of this before. And I hope this isn’t a new thing that restaurants are now starting to do because we often share a big meal at restaurants.
Ambiance-to me, it’s more of a bar than a restaurant. We visited during the day on a weekday. I’m not sure what it looks like at night. None of the customers were rude or disorderly. There were five others at the bar.
The service was prompt and friendly.
The bill was approx $22.00 for one large cheeseburger and fries (no drink). That included the tax and shared plate fee of $2.99.

Wow, so you look at the burgers and there’s a little sticker shock. So, you order one and BAM. That original 3/4lb Thruman burger is HUGE! Hand and napkin holder for scale
The hime fries are salty and crunchy as expected. Burger perfectly cooked.
Full bar, bottled and tapped beer, wine options, and coke products.
A definite tavern atmosphere.
