My favorite dish is the crispy chicken over the rice. It is so delicious! They have very spacious floor upstairs and it would be perfect for small group meeting or any other party. The food is good and the service is also excellent!

This corn dog is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I wasn’t expecting it to be so perfectly seasoned! I would have gotten a photo of the perfect cheese pull except I ate this so fast I want to Come back to get some kimchi to keep at home, it smelled incredible

The New location is pretty spacious and ambience looks great. Being a fan of the old location the only problem there was finding an easy parking. With a dedicated parking lot in the new location it’s much more convenient.

Great food as always – I loved the food at the Albany location. The new location is huge and has so much potential! I asked for a vegetarian version of the corn dog and they accommodated!

Disappointed with dry bulgogi sandwiches ($12.50). Bread not fresh and we waited more than 20 minutes for not-hot food. Kimbap was good.

I have always loved the Son of Egg location in Albany, and was so excited when they opened this Rensselaer location! The new location is SO spacious and has a second floor with lots of room to have a meal with friends. I got the bulgogi bowl with stir-fried kimchi, and it was delicious as usual. The staff was super friendly, and the owners Dad made sure we were comfortable and had a nice visit.

Very good food, holds up to the Albany location. Friendly staff and bigger place. Always my go-to when I’m feeling a bulgogi bowl. The selection of imported snacks and drinks were a treat. I wish them success at the new location.

Friendly and sincere service — so giving two stars for that. Otherwise, I have no idea why this establishment gets so many rave reviews. The food was not good and not authentically Korean (based on having traveled in Korea and visiting Korean restaurants in NYC, SF and Honolulu). Granted, this is Albany, NY, so maybe I should manage my expectations, but all the stellar reviews had me hopeful.

SUCH a solid meal! Their Korean rice bowls were freshly made, perfectly portioned, and super satisfying. I felt like I was eating bulgogi from an umma’s kitchen.
