They have a good variety of noodle dishes here. I’ve been here a couple times and the broths is decent but also inconsistent. They’re known for their bún mắm but flavor is still a bit lacking for me. Their dipping sauce for bún đậu mắm tôm also is just okay. Their bún riêu and bún mực could use a bit more flavor as well. Drinks here are great, I recommend the soursop and lychee tea. Service is hit or miss sometimes depending on if it’s busy or not. Usually, there’s a 15-20 mins wait during peak hours. Food is good but not worth any wait imo

First time We came here with friends and bought 1 Mi Quang to go. The taste every dishes were good. I give 3 stars because I can’t believe how much fat from the Mi Quang soup. I hope they can remove the fat out. It’s too much fat . I must removed all fat out before giving for my husband.

I’ve visited this restaurant a few times, and I’m absolutely in love with their food. I’ve tried Bún Mắm, Bún Suông, and Bún Bò Huế to-go. I highly recommend the Bún Mắm and Bún Suông. The broth is rich and flavorful, and what I really appreciated is that it wasn’t overly salty. The meat and fish were incredibly fresh. This is one of the few places where Bún Mắm didn’t upset my stomach. As for the Bún Bò Huế, it was just okay for me—the broth didn’t leave a strong impression. The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. The restaurant itself isn’t very large, but it’s still spacious enough for big groups. Their service is quick and friendly, so you don’t have to wait for too long to be seated. It’s clean, and there’s plenty of parking. I’m looking forward to coming back to try the Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm and Trà Đào next.

First time trying this and honestly I expected more. The foods look great but were not flavorful at all. Don’t know how to describe, sweet but bland.

I ordered 7 dishes from Son Kieu. Since food arrived late so I left all of them in refrigerator and used them next days. However, to my surprise, all the soup went bad. I got a heavy food disorder in coming days. I called Son Kieu and told them that those foods were not fresh. Those soups were made a few days back before they were sold to me. The lady on the phone rejected everything she said that her manager would call me but no one gave me a call. I told her that I ordered the same food in busy restaurants like Oc va Lau or Ilanet café , the same food never go bad so fast. They can last for 4 days in average.

Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm & Mì Trộn Muối Ớt are sooooo good They taste exactly the same with what I tried in Vietnam. Everything was seasoned perfectly and ready to eat. The noodles may be spicy for those who can’t do spicy food. Otherwise, the flavor is amazing.
I wish they could do better to make their place cleaner. The restroom area smelt bad and the way to the kitchen looked pretty dirty.

Mi quang was flavorful, bun dau was fantastic, and bun mam was a little salty with too much fried garlic so it kinda tasted like canh chua

This Son Kieu is opening first day today (10/04/2025). We had one order of Bún mắm Đặc Biệt ($15.95), one order of Bánh Canh Trảng Bang ($15.95), one cup of hot tea ($2.00). The total was $33.90.
The lady cashier gave me a bill total of $42.89. She walked away right away before I could even checked the bill.
She didn’t provide a itemized bill, just a total amount bill.
I hope the staff at this place be more careful with the billing and payment methods related to its customers.

My friend insisted to come here to try, she saw ad on FB and was excited when getting here. We ordered just very little to see if we should order more or not.
1. Bun Mam: it was one of good Bun Mam we ate so far in OC. If they can change the swai fish to cat fish then it would be completed.
2. Bun das mam tom: it was very very disappointing. Pork belly was not freshly cooked, it was cooked few days ago and they heated it up with microwave when having order, its strong odor and yellowish color told us. The noodle ( bun nen) completely could not be eaten, it was very dry and as hard as a rubber cube when eating, we spilled out right away. Cha Com was very dry and again it was food that cooked/ left from the other days. Tofu they fried in day, it was fried again when having order, it was ok to eat. We tried to eat to not waste but have to leave pork and noodle, could not swallow. Mam Tom- dipping sauce was ok, not bad or good.
3. Tra Mang Cau: we had high expectation but we were down again.
The service is very slow maybe they are new so they do not manage well yet.
I read other comments said restaurant was small but I could not image until I got there. I wondered who designed the layout of restaurant/ unit, it make the unit was small be smaller. The restroom right next to the kitchen area. Sorry for those who cook and work in kitchen, it was hot and stuffy. Both restroom and kitchen was very small, smaller than we can ever imagine. I am not sure how the restaurant passed the inspection from Health Department and Code Building Department.
We left and went to another restaurant for our lunch.
