Somisomi had Taiyaki (5pc) for $9.75 which was a great deal. We ordered Black Sesame Taiyaki (not a fan of this one), Custard Taiyaki (it was good, but I want the taiyaki cooked a bit longer), Nutella Taiyaki, Red Bean Taiyaki, Oreo Taiyaki all were good but Oreo was the winner for me. We also got soft-serve Ube with strawberry Topping In a Cup for $4.50. It is one of the best tasting ube soft-serve I’ve had. Service was friendly, they also have kiosks you can order from. It is located in the building with H-Mart, they have available outside seating.

this place serves the most delicious ice cream I’ve ever had! The fish-shaped waffle was perfectly crunchy and so tasty. We ordered the upside-down Ahboong to fully enjoy the crunchy texture of the waffle, and the milk ice cream was absolutely mind-blowing. Highly recommend trying it!

When Somisomi opened, I was a regular customer and now I haven’t been there in maybe over a year. Tonight I had a Doctors appointment and so I had to make the drive in and was so excited to go to SomiSomi! Well, as soon as I placed my order, I wasn’t even done pulling my credit card out. I don’t think and they had my order ready which was crazy fast so that was really surprising but more than that I realized when I was eating my ice cream that the shell was really tough and had been made a while ago and didn’t seem fresh at all, and it was packed with Nutella instead of just lined on the rim I just felt like it was really not up to par and I did bring it back to the gentleman to let him know that I was not happy with it and he placed the blame on me saying that they always pre-make their shells and that’s how they always do it and they’re not supposed to be warm .
Doesn’t it have to be warm but it should be fresh and this was no way made within the last even I don’t know half hour it was really hard and I showed him my cup where I hardly ate any of it and he said that’s how they made so I said OK just wanna let you know and I’ll bring it to your attention. I said I’m not gonna eat this. It’s not edible and I pitched it in the garbage..
The crazy thing is, they weren’t even busy there was nobody ahead of me and nobody behind me when I came back to tell him about my ice cream. There was one person waiting. There’s no reason not to make somebody a fresh cone and you know also, you don’t have to put the blame on me..
Compromised product and service! I was so looking forward to my Icecream too

Ordering system was surely appreciated with the well-thought process on assuring people can be served ASAP, especially knowing the constantly busy line.
I have always been in love with their soft serve and I had it more like a go-to for late-night cravings. It’s not like best of the best, but decent and accessible. They’re also pretty inventive in rotating the flavors.
One disappointment recently was the taiyaki, which felt like barely have fillings now. Understand inflation, I somehow preferred higher price but with satisfying filling. The hotteok one was actually pretty good but unfortunately so little.

Really cute shop and very clean. A lot of customers but service is convenient because you place your order through a digital kiosk and they call your name/order. I got a cup of ube ice cream and cookies and crème with sprinkles and a taiyaki on top. The ice cream tastes so fresh and light and has a perfect texture. The ube didn’t have much flavor but it was still good. The taiyaki was crispy and a great compliment to the ice cream. Highly recommend if you’re in Koreatown! It’s on the second floor, right as you get off the escalator.

Superb! Whether you’ve had taiyaki or not, you have to try this place. It’s one of the best dessert spots in town. The taiyaki here is incredibly cute, especially the upside-down one—it’s as if it’s trying to eat your ice cream but can’t fit all in its mouth. They offer a wide variety of fillings and toppings. I highly recommend the swirl option so you can enjoy two different flavors simultaneously. Personally, I adore the red bean filling. Be prepared for a potentially long line, but trust me, it’s definitely worth the wait! I absolutely love it.

Super tasty soft-serve and taiyaki!
Everything is really good and I highly recommend the taiyaki on its own. It’s well-cooked and all the fillings are delicious. Their soft-serve flavors change every week so you get a chance to always try something new.
The place is relatively small so the tables and chairs are just on the side of the shop. They have mobile kiosks where you order from and call your name when it’s ready. The best part is that they validate your parking!
Definitely stop by if you’re in the mood for a light dessert snack!

Came on recommendation of a friend who had posted on Instagram. It is located inside a shopping center, so it does have a parking lot. It is a cute little shop. The soft serve ice cream was delicious. I had the matcha/cookies and cream swirl topped with toasted coconut with goldfish-shaped waffle cone stuffed with Nutella. What a perfect mix, the waffle cone is made fresh!! Even better!! My son had the strawberry/ube swirl, he ordered his in a cup with the waffle cone as well and he loved it. My oldest ordered the cookies and cream and topped it with cereal and Oreos. Super cute and delicious snack! We all wish they had a location in NJ!!

It’s a small little place with some good ice cream. So, expect a line but it goes fast. They have an automated ordering stand that is easy to place orders on. They have their regular flavors and weekly specials so there is enough of a variety to not get old if you go there regularly enough. It does get a little hectic in that the place is so small but it’s inside a outdoor shopping center so it’s easy enough to place your order and then step outside to wait for your order. I ordered the cookies & cream and Ube combo. The ice cream is creamy and not “icy.” I love Ube ice cream but at Somi Somi, the Ube flavor is very muted. It’s still good, but don’t very subtle. You can order the ice cream in the fish cone (made FRESH!!!) lined with hazelnut spread or custard or plain. You get a decent amount of ice cream so I order the cone with a cup. It’s much easier to eat as it does tend to melt quickly and can get messy. Overall, it’s a great place for ice cream and a sweet treat.
