Something Sweet opened in the Historic Downtown Paragould in December 2011 as Paragould’s first sweet shop with a focus on cupcakes and custom decorated occasion cakes. Since opening we have evolved into a specialty coffee shop, serving your favorite espresso based drinks. At SS, you will also find some of your favorite childhood candies and decadent home made fudge on our Candy Wall. AND if sugar is not your thing, we proudly make Keto friendly treats and desserts which are all sugar free, gluten free and low carb!!

My favorite bakery! I love that they have keto, gluten-free, sugar alternative options! Very friendly and welcoming! I go up to paragould about once a month and always make sure to stop by and stock up on some guilt free keto sweets! In Paragould as a chauffeur, when I was pointed to Something Sweet for a cup of coffee. I was not disappointed. The house coffee was hot and black with a bold flavor. I was drawn to the pastry display with cupcakes, pastries, and various brownies. I selected my favorite scone, blueberry, and was greatly pleased with the results. I sat myself on a stool and the front and watched the business of Paragould drift by. There is a variety of drinking accessories for sale as well as other baked goods and ice cream. I will steer my way back on my next trip here.

I am always looking for a locally owned business in my travels. Something Sweet checked off all the boxes of “wow”. When you first walk in the door the atmosphere is perfect. Well designed, beautiful old brick wall, displays well organized not a piece of dust to be found. Clean bathroom. Customer service, they treat you like you are the best back door neighbors. On to the Sweet Treats, all looked amazing in the case. Just try one, you will be delighted. I did. The hot white chocolate, yummy, the best I have had.

We stopped here to pay for our time at the cat café (come here first!!!) but also to pick up a drink and a treat while we waited.
We ordered two coffees (black and a café au lait); both were delicious and well made. We also ordered a blueberry scone, a cinnamon apple scone, and a brownie. The pastries are very good and seemed fresh! There were many options to choose from and the prices on everything was very reasonable–maybe the best I’ve seen in a while. The staff was wonderful and made us feel right at home.
We also loved the overall decor and feel of the cafe! It was very cute and homey and there were some fun snacks and treats for sale inside as well.
