This food was AMAZING , me and my sister had many items from the menu , like the lamb chops and mac and cheese, even the onion rings were FRESHHH. And we know good food , were from NY .
If you are looking for food with flavor . Definitely come here . We met Skip the owner was very courteous and greeted us at our table. Kayla was our server and she was quick, polite and remembered our order without taking notes. We were also told Jamal was the cook, thank you !. The place was clean, nice decor and we loved the R&b vibe.

The food was good overall. When you first walk into the establishment, there is a noticeable smoke smell, but once you get further inside it improves. The music was extremely loud, making it difficult to hear conversations at the table.
Our server was very nice and attentive, which made the experience better.
As for the food, the jerk chicken egg rolls were phenomenal—definitely the highlight of the meal. I ordered the fish plate with collard greens. The fish was good, but the collard greens were a little too sweet for my personal taste. The Rasta pasta was also very good.
This could be a really nice place to visit, but the pricing doesn’t quite match the atmosphere.

I came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with a friend and it is truly SOMETHING SPECIAL!!! The food is amazing, drinks amazing, decor is so nice and everyone was so attentive. I even got a chance to meet the wonderful couple that owns the place. I am so glad they chose to bring their classy upcale restaurant to this area because we needed it! The bang-bang shrimp was so good! I ordered a 2nd one! The lamp chops were tender and juicy, mash potatoes and greens yummy!!! And last but not least. . my server Kayla was AWESOME!!! I came back a month or so later with another friend and now he loves this place too! This place has a DJ with a dance floor area on one side but if the music is too loud, there is a 2nd side with another bar that is also quiet, they thought of everything ! Thank you for bringing Something Special to Conyers!!!

Now let’s talk about the food absolutely delicious! The tacos were full of flavor, seasoned perfectly, and the portion sizes were just right. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they’re serving because everything came out hot, fresh, and super tasty.

The salmon was seasoned just right and served over flavorful mashed potatoes with fresh sautéed spinach—everything was delicious and well-balanced. And the appetizer dip with those crispy fried chips? Mouthwatering!
A special shoutout to Skip, the amazing owner! He’s such a great guy—he personally reserved a table for me and my family and made special accommodations without hesitation. He didn’t have to, but he did, and that level of care and hospitality truly sets this place apart.

Great food and drinks. Atmosphere (decor/ambiance) could use some work, but not bad for a small business. I am only writing this review to let Something Special know that you were my absolute favorite restaurant in Conyers, but because of the unreliable hours and long wait times, I haven’t been back in over 6 months and I’ll probably never be a returning customer. I recommend getting some better hours of operation.

We had a delightful dinner at Something Special Bar & Lounge! The service was top-notch – friendly staff greeted and seated us immediately upon arrival around 5:30 pm. The owner truly impressed us. They stopped by to welcome us, ensure everything was going smoothly, and even checked if the music level was comfortable. We appreciated this personal touch, and the owner even adjusted the volume based on our preference.
The real star of the show, however, was the food. We tried the Something Special Fish Sandwich and the Grilled Salmon Dinner – both were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. While the wait after ordering could have been a tad shorter, the quality of the food justified the wait.
The ambiance at Something Special Bar & Lounge is fantastic. The decor creates a wonderful atmosphere. One minor suggestion for improvement: the entrance currently leads past a private room and hallway with bathrooms before reaching the main area. A more direct path to the main bar and lounge would enhance the flow, allowing guests to bypass the bathrooms upon entering.
