What is red snapper? I ordered 3 pieces of red snapper, but they served 3 pieces of tilapia.Ugh, I was so looking forward to my dinner tonight but things didn’t go as planned at all. I ordered myself some red snapper s4, hoping for a delicious meal. However, when my order came, I received three pieces of tilapia instead of the red snapper I wanted I’m a little disappointed because Iwas really craving that specific taste and texture of the red snapper. Really would not recommend the crawfish yet. They were really small. The kids chicken tenders were so chewy my 4 year old couldn’t chew them. It’s nice to see a small business trying but some paint and cleaning in bathroom will help astetics. I will go back and try the seafood looked good.

In an attempt to support our local small owned businesses, I chose to dine in for dinner at Somerville seafood and grill on 9/9/24. Despite not being initially greeted with any warmth, I went against my better judgment and decided to complete my mission to dine in. Generally if I’m not greeted with decency, I’ll walk out. The young lady that served as the hostess was very cold, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Her service was very rushed and I had to stop her from walking away in order to take my food order. She spoke all of 10 words to me the entire time I was there. I must say the food came out in a timely manner and appeared fresh BUT it was disgusting. I ordered the crab cake meal which included 3 stuffed crabs, fries and salad (coleslaw was the other option). The stuffed crabs had no flavor and no crab meat, only stuffing. The fries were those thin cut off brand kind that had an orange tint and the tea was so watered down to just brown sugar water. Thankfully I’d had the mind to ask for lemon wedges for the tea to give it some kinda taste. I also ordered a side of dirty rice but I couldn’t eat that as well. It was not dirty rice at all, or at least not the normal kind that’s customary. It was just brown rice with no taste. I pretty much left the entire meal uneaten due to it not being palatble, except the orange fries and salad. Being so, I came and left hungry. My trip to Somerville seafood and grill was a complete waste of my appetite, time and money. Finally, I’ve eaten at many places and I always leave an above average tip, even at the bad places. My experience was so awful that I didn’t leave a tip, first time I’ve ever done that! I would not recommend this eatery to any of my family or friends and I definitely will never return.
