But boy oh boy are we glad we did!
We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess and our name was put on the wait list. It was after church so we knew we were going to face having to wait…no biggie. 10 minutes went by and our name was called. Keep in mind this place was super busy. All of the servers were moving quickly and no one was just standing around doing nothing.
We were seated with menus and within a few minutes our server was at our table taking our drink order. She came with a smile and a super great personality – Reese (I believe was her name). She came back with our drink order and we still needed a few minutes to decide so she left long enough for us to decide but not long enough to forget about us.
They were out of the stuffed French toast – which totally bummed my Hubby out but she quickly recommended French toast with a personalized touch to his liking.
The order came out perfect and everything was fresh and hot.
The French toast was excellent.
The burger that my son had was super tasty and super filling.
I had the biscuits and gravy. I am SUPER picky when it comes to biscuits. But let me tell you people….this place hands down is one of my favorite places for biscuits. Fresh…hot…fluffy but not too fluffy and definitely not a rock hard dense hockey buck. Soooooo good!
I am really glad we didn’t listen to the reviews because this place, as my husband says – “it’s my new favorite breakfast place”.
And honestly as we could hear and watch other servers moving amongst the restaurant, they really all seemed to have upbeat personalities and was working hard.
If you have to had a good experience, try it again. Everyone has bad days.
Good food,.waitress was a bit new, though.
UPDATE (Sunshine Cafe)
I went for Sunday breakfast with my wife, fantastic food, and our waitress, Aubi, was attentive to our needs and was kind. The restaurant was PACKED, however, we felt that we didn’t wait anywhere near the 15 minute wait we were quoted, it felt closer to 5-10, after which we got a table, and our waitress Aubi took our order, I had the Crepes Florentine with a side of wheat toast, and my wife, Fade, had the steak tips and eggs; we both thought our food was FANTASTIC (the only complaint was that she ordered the steak medium, when she probably wanted med-rare, still good though.), the coffee is great black, and service was prompt and attentive; the price was right as well, pre-tip we spent about $36 for everything. We can definitely see this becoming a regular Sunday breakfast/brunch spot for us, Aubi and the entire team was outstanding! A++
