Two Fishes
Was almost bummed because we had the wrong address but we found our way and so glad we did.
Indecisive as is, we were greeted by the owner/ cook Janet who made it even more difficult to choose after giving us the run down of the menu. Although we had their breakfast in mind (which they serve ALL day), we ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, roast beef with gravy and mashed potatoes, freshly cut French fries with a side of gravy, fried pickles(which we ended up ordering more of), made to order Mac and cheese, and a bacon and cheese omelet with home fries, peppers and onions. Not to mention, this was all before we had taste tests (Janet insisted) of the chicken and dumpling soup, French toast, and a pancake.
The food came out hot, fresh, and fast. The portions were generous, the GRAVY was gravy-ing, and the pickiest eater in the bunch not only got something outside her usual but she ate everything on her plate in its entirety (also asked for more gravy). All the waitresses were super attentive and worked together to make sure nobody needed anything. Everything was so good, it was only right the other two cooks came out to make an appearance so we can thank them ourselves.
The people feel like home. The food taste like home. Get the GRAVYYY.
Don’t forget to stop behind the building for some beautiful views including the Veteran’s Memorial.

The atmosphere is so welcoming here! Truly enjoyed sitting down with my little family. Had a very homey feeling and smelled fantastic as soon as you walk in the door.
It was a blessing to meet the owner. I really do recommend a place like this if you’re looking for a nice setting to sit down and have a good breakfast. We will definitely be returning!

SUCH GOOD FOOD! 1/2 pound Burger was AMAZING! (Be aware~ The 1 pound takes 35-45 min to cook.) Grilled Chkn salad was perfect. Fries were so good. Best iced T I’ve had in awhile. Small town feel, everyone talking to eachother. Small staff, food takes a lil bit. Def worth it!

Weirdest chicken salad I’ve ever had… Basically chicken cheese fries on top of a bed of lettuce with a couple slices of tomato and peppers. Fries were soggy and soaked in oil with no seasoning. I think they were dropped into barely warm oil… ZERO crisp. The chicken was pretty decent, but I should’ve asked for no fries. One of the waitresses was vacuuming the restaurant during the lunch “rush” which was kind of annoying. At one point a child (13?) walked out of kitchen wearing an apron. Is that who made my food? My waitress dropped the bill on my table without asking if I wanted anything else. I was going to get a soup to go. Could not wait to leave by the end.

You better come hungry! I got the county fried steak dinner and my wife got the butterfly shrimp dinner. Everything was excellent. The people working were very pleasant. The portions were huge! They even brought me out a big bowl of gravy on the side in case I wanted extra. The restaurant was basic (Not too fancy) but it was clean. Prices were reasonable. This was our first time here but definitely won’t be our last.

They got a 1 pound burger that me and 3 buddies got, not expecting much but that wasn’t the case. It was delicious and what’s crazy is it’s a true 16 ounce patty. And before they even cook it the weight is 22 ounces they said. So in reality it’s a 1.5lb burger. 10/10 would recommend.

Typical hole in the wall place! Amazing food, homelike atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly! Price is about $10 per person which is great for the quality and quantity of the meal. Definitely going to come back and highly recommended!
