Sombreros is not the easiest location to get to. However, the parking is sufficient. Lunch seems like the best time to eat there. Also, eating-in is preferable to takeout in my experience. Dinner is okay. But for my taste it just seems the food is a bit better during lunch. It just might be my imagination though. The greetings were pleasant enough. The atmosphere is fine, but should not be expected to be “black tie.” The staff are generally friendly. The salsa is okay, but not my favorite. The chips are often fresher in the middle of the week. Menu items are varied and plentiful and every meal I’ve tried is good. However, compared to other Mexican restaurants I’ve reviewed, which are many, Sombreros is not one I visit often. But it is fine. Give it a try, and decide for yourselves.

This place’ll probably be closed in a few years. Partner and I came in on SATURDAY night around 8:30. We weren’t promptly greeted and when we finally were, we were handed two menus and told to seat ourselves so we sat ourselves at a booth in the bar. The bartender is busy cleaning/closing down her bar, and two other employees were busy driving new screws into upside-down booths with impact drivers. We could barely hear our server over the impacts. The chips were cold and stale and were only given one small bowl of salsa. Were given/offered NO straws or silverware and have to get them ourselves from the host stand. The food, although prompt, didn’t inspire to say the least. There are so many other Mexican restaurants in this town that are beating this place in every way imaginable. Like I said at the start, they’ll be closed in a few years, or less, at this rate.

Salsa was absolutely horrendous. The queso was good however. I prefer thinner chips but they weren’t still good.
Ordered the fish tacos, decent amount of food for the price. At first sight they’re great. Seasoning was ok. The fish was a little “fishy” but not horrible. Waitress was very nice.

On the weekly luncheon circuit. Consistent food quality and service. Great vibe in the bar or dining room. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Good prices.

We paid $70 for what you see pictured. This was supposed to be fajitas for 2….. and it definitely is…. If one person doesn’t eat. We got 4 tortillas, 5 shrimp total and 1 dry chicken breast sliced up on top of a mountain of stirfry vegetables???? What happened to this place? We drove an hour and a half to eat here because we just thought it would be like it used to be. We will not come back, and we will not continue to recommend this place either. We feel straight ROBBED!

My husband and I went here for lunch. Our server checked up on us every few minutes. And he was already bringing us refills before my husband drank half of his tea. That was Awesome! I ordered the Fiesta Nachos and the Tacos. I am a huge fan of Nachos. And believe me, they didn’t disappoint. The meat on the tacos was full of flavor. I had a wonderful time!

Its a very nice place to have lunch. Food was great and we got served so quickly so that’s definitely 2 thumbs up plus it was hot and fresh. Drinks were very good to and the handsome young man who took care of us was awesome. He definitely did everything right so it was my first time visiting but I’ll definitely be returning. I asked and the young man’s name was Jordan Augustine. 5* Service
