Do not eat here!! The food was terrible. My chicken was tough and the portions are small. Also, we were charged an extra fee for using a debit card and two separate taxes. I have never paid a debit card fee at any restaurant before. Everyone uses their cards to go out to eat. Will not recommend any restaurant in Springfield to anyone. That meal tax is ridiculous!!

The food was good. The place was empty though, we walked in and didn’t even know if they were open. The kale soup was not what I was used too. Being from Eastern Mass, our Kale Soup is regular broth with meat, kale pieces, and veggies…and the Kale Soup here was a thick potato base like chowder and just kale shreds. It was “ok” but that’s just my preference. The Alentejana was good.

Food was delicious! Piping hot, large portions, full of flavor. We did take out for an at home date night. The pork was tender and sauce was just right with the level of spice. The steak and shrimp was hot and steak cooked medium, as requested, without being dry. Potatoes dully cooked with just enough bit to not be mushy. Vegetables were on point too as they were fully cooked in a julienne cut but squash just crisp enough. I had enough for a second meal the next day.

They shut down ½ hour early, the food was missing lobster in my meal, the bar tender followed instructions of one security guard who said not to serve anyone drinks when the other security guard said to still serve drinks.. very unorganized and the bartender had no clue who’s direction to follow and was confused

We had my son’s 1st Communion party at Solmar. The owners were beyond flexible with food choices and did everything they could to accommodate the size of our party comfortably. Great food, service & atmosphere. Multiple guests said it was the best food they have had at a large function. Since our party was pretty much the max capacity, they offered family style to avoid everyone having to get up and navigate around each other. We had a great time!
