2 weeks ago I got chef salads and the dressing was expired and black I had them open a package over the phone. I decided to come back because they granted me a pre-order of breadsticks. So I ordered two chef salads and my free breadsticks they tell me 15 minutes I get there the order hasn’t even began they didn’t know where my receipt was ticket. Can I hear a guy in the background where do these breadsticks go cuz they’re burnt no one answered him so I said they’re probably mine. Then she proceeds to start making my chef salad realizes they don’t have enough lettuce to make two. I can hear the whole conversation the bald head guy not very concerning he’s not very much paying attention. But then eventually I hear one of them say I’ll go get some. So they must have went to Dollar general. As she’s making my first salad doesn’t even look like there’s enough lettuce. Then she proceeds to go over there and roll dough or whatever they do never washing your hands never changing her gloves. Then the guy finally comes back with the lettuce then he says do you need any of this. No one answers him. As I’m just standing there waiting for an additional 15 minutes my order should have already been made. No one came up to me and talk to me and said we have a problem no one told me about the lettuce cuz I could hear it. So when he finally came back he said I’m going to chop some lettuce he doesn’t wash his hands he doesn’t even put on gloves and he has a knife and he’s chopping up the lettuce. At that point I’ve seen all that I could see. And I said I’m done here. You guys haven’t even acknowledge me in 15 minutes. Haven’t even told me why you’re out of lettuce or anything. Then I see a bunch of cross-contamination with the girl going back and forth. The guy with the bald head went to cough raised his right hand and coughed on his glove. And when that guy cutting leather with no gloves. I knew at that point I have seen enough. I’ve seen enough that I hope the place gets shut down.

Summary: This is a decent local pizza place off to a good start and I plan to return.

New pizza place in Criderville, next to the fire station. They were super busy on Friday night, so the wait times were a little long.

The pizza was worth the wait though – well made with quality ingredients. The sauce was good, a hint of spice and not too sweet. There was a bit more sauce on the pizza than I personally like, but I know a lot of people like a lot of sauce, so I don’t consider it a bad thing. They were reasonably generous with the toppings and the pizza was delicious.

I also tried thier “Garlic Bread w/Cheese” and Jalapeno Poppers – both were good, but notthing special; pretty much ‘standard’ for the area. Unlike many other places, they did not include any kind of sauce with the poppers. They did include garlic sauce with the pizza itself, but was not really that good for the poppers.

Thier menu could stand to be better organized. It would also be a good idea to list the toppings for each of their specialty pizzas and sandwiches on the menu.

It would be nice to see the appetizers in more ‘sharable’ quantities (say 6 instead of 5, so orders are evenly divisible by both 2 or 3.)

Good job Solly’s – we will be back. Please try to make sure your updated menus make it out to your entire covered area!

EDIT (2/10/23): I ordered “Cheesy Bread Sticks” today and was surprised to only see three sticks in a “small” order, meaning they cost more than $2 each; most places in the area sell 5 or 6 for the same price. They were also mostly flavorless and I was not at all impressed. The pizza was still excellent, but I will not be ordering the breadsticks again any time soon.

Sollys is a great hometown pizza place. Perfect for when you don’t want to go to Lima or Wapak for food. Menu is great, food is amazing, staff are friendly and its just overall a great hometown eatery.

Dave was so helpful and nice! Amazing service. I was just outside of the delivery range and they still delivered to me. They accidentally forgot 1 thing I ordered (accidents happen), the owner himself called me to let me know they’d take care of everything the next time I ordered. This is why I always buy from small businesses! Oh.. and the food was absolutely amazing! Chefs’ Kiss!

Most the time I call its like the phones off the hook and it immediately hangs up. I got tired of this and on a sun at 5:30 pm I walked in to order. A young black haired lady on her phone sighed then rolled her and started to get up. I thought forget this and left. The times I have got food it was just ok. Pizza is bad though.

Food is phenomenal. It takes a while, and to order for pickup they need a bunch of your personal info. Not a fan of that, but the pizza is solid.

I have ordered from here a few times and sometimes it comes out really good. I’ve had many times where I tried to call and it just rings endlessly and I give up. My boyfriend and I ordered two pounds of wings with two different sauces and waited an hour only for them both to come covered in one of the sauce choices.

My daughter wanted the tacos from the appetizer menu but they didn’t have it. Ordered a pizza instead. The smallest they had was a 12-inch pizza which after adding a topping was like $13. No inside dining, so we waited the 30 minutes for them to cook our food on a bench in their sweltering lobby. I got the impression it was the only restaurant in town though besides a gas station
Not really an upgrade from gas station food or dining experience though…

This place is a joke they’ll tell you your food will be ready one time and then call you 10 minutes later and tell you it’s done while it’s sitting on a hot plate. And when you call to complain because your mayonnaise and pickle is boiling hot the owner’s wife wants to argue with you instead of taking care of the issue. So you enjoy food poisoning, and arguing this would be a perfect…
