It’s a whole vibe in this restaurant. We loved the large colorful pictures on the walls, and the marbled black and white floor. They have a nice patio area and it’s located in the University shopping area. Now to the service and the food! Delish!!!!
They definitely have the appropriate name for themselves.we went mid afternoon so not too busy but it definitely started picking up towards 5pm Qualyn was our friendly and efficient server! Easy to talk to and she was attentive to our needs without being overbearing. We ordered the Fried Flounder and the Baked Turkey Wings with the Jerk seasoning. Our sides were the Everything greens (so delicious), the broccoli (so tender and tasty) the Mac & Cheese (deliciously different) and a sweet potato pound cake that had a drizzle of icing on it (tender crumb, moist with just the right amount of sweetness with the cinnamon) . My hubbyband and found our new favorite spot! I bake Jerk turkey wings often and he loves mine so to find a restaurant that knows how to make them fall off the bone in such a way…we was smiling the whole time he ate it. Hats off to the Chef, owner and the staff!! I think they will get to know us!! Definitely come here! The does not disappoint!! I am sure they are packed on the weekends and also offer a brunch. They apparently have live music, and are closed on Mondays. Enjoy!!

A great black own business with good food & amazing service. It truly was a great dining experience. Went there for lunch after hearing nothing but positive recommendations. They greet you with a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Our server was a lovely young lady who was very attentive & knowledgeable about the items on the menu. I got the wing entree with broccoli and the house mac n cheese. The whole wings was nice size & fried to protection. We had cat fish bites as an appetizer which were good as well! I absolutely would come back.

The was my first visit here. We were seated immediately. It was smokey inside. Maybe the exhaust fan was not working, but that needs to be addressed, that is why I rated the atmosphere 3 stars. The 2 honey corn muffins came out really quick, and the were hot with honey drizzled on top. The muffins were really good. My son ordered the jerk turkey wings, with yams, mac & cheese. My son said his food was good. I wanted to try the lamb but they were out, so I settled for the steak,broccoli, mac & cheese. I also ordered 4 wings to go. The steak was grilled like I asked medium and was pretty tender and flavorful, the broccoli looked grilled, it was good, the mac & cheese was really good. The fried chicken was ok size and fried perfect the season was ok. Our waitress Kim was awesome! She was very attentive, hospitable, and knowledgeable.
I will be back, because I want to try the lamb chops. Kim advised me to call and check to see if they have lamb chops next time. They also have another location near this one that is just for take out only.

We loved the quick and efficient service from the moment we walked in the door until we left. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The jerk turkey wings were fall off the bone yummy! The chicken wings were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the music, the crowd and the decor. It’s a vibe!

Went to sol delish today because i am on vacation visiting Charlotte and found this restaurant on tiktok. It is very overrated. Waited almost 2 hours to be sat down at the restaurant for mediocre food and mediocre service. Once my friends and i were sat down we waited almost 10-15 for our order to be taken. Once the waitress finally came she took our orders for our drinks and food but that took another 30-40 minutes to come. Not to mention the waitress had a hickey on her neck as well. Also once my food came the macaroni was cold, the greens were sweet but my lamb chops were very good! Over all i wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy.

Went Saturday just as brunch was changing over to dinner. The Food was on point and our waitress Leigh ( sorry for the misspelling) was extremely nice. Them Turkey wings are a 10. I also had the yams and Mac &cheese. Wife had the veggies with salmon and it was all good. Very nice vibes. The only thing I will say is once the change from brunch to dinner the people waiting should be added to a list to manage who was there 1st and the size of the party. Other then that everything was wonderful

We went to meet my husband’s cousin for brunch.She ordered flounder and grits. We shared chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles were good, the chicken was seasoned really well. His cousin enjoyed the shrimp and grits she said they were delicious. Ther service was great!The atmosphere was nice really liked the art on the wall. The prices were reasonable. We enjoyed our experience and definitely will go back.

Love everything about So Delish! Laid back, good music, soul food vibes. TVs throughout the restaurant, perfect for game nights. Outdoor seating, two bar seating areas, and average indoor dining spaces create a cozy atmosphere. Limited large party spacing if celebrating an event with several, but doable. We chose to be seated at the back bar immediately due to a typical Saturday 45min. – 1 hour wait time for a regular table.
Ordered the Smoked Turkey Wings and Fried Flounder entrees. Sides were seafood mac and cheese, yams, and greens. Everything was delicious and truly surprised me because I’m picky and it’s hard to find good soul food in Charlotte. I would recommend stopping in for a meal.
