Decent hotel restaurant, nothing crazy. The side salad with house ranch was good. Vermillion shrimp bake was good, chicken tenders and wings were average. Generous pour for wine!

Boudin Balls were surprisingly good but please don’t bother wasting your money on the pasta. Shrimp pasta. No sauce, dry and not much flavor at all. We’re in Lafayette SoLA….set an example for travelers. These mini overseas shrimp are an embarrassment.

I came to dine-in around 7 pm. I got Natalie as my server. She was very kind and patient. The food arrived nice and hot. It is very nice for a hotel restaurant.

I ordered the fried catfish. It was served fresh and the portion was very plentiful. Most importantly, the fish was seasoned well and had a lemon flavor. Very nice! The veggie of the day was seasoned steamed broccoli, which, again was very tasty and fresh! I ordered a side salad, should have skipped that. The lettuce was wilted and brown. Over all, nice meal for $22 tax included.

Probably the only part of staying at the Hilton DoubleTree that won’t disappoint. SoLA is the restaurant on the main lobby floor of the hotel. I ordered a salad and it ended up being gigantic! And their kitchen is open until 10. Salad was decent.

Everything was great! The cookies are always on point. I ate at SoLa every night of my stay. THE STAFF IS BY FAR THE FRIENDLIEST every!!!!! I’ll defn be back whenever Im in Lafayette!

So I tried the fried crab stuffed trout with ettoufe and potatoes au gratin. The trout had a good flavor but it was dry. The ettoufe…. As a Cajun, I should have known better….. It was just OK (barely). The cheese on the potatoes was pretty strong. The broccoli was good but a little under cooked IMO (I like it soft, this was still crunchy). My wife had fried shrimp that were pretty good. At this point I would not say, “you gotta try this place”, but I’d go back and try something else. If you go, and you know what good ettoufe is, avoid the ettoufe dishes. The waitress was very nice. It was 40 degrees outside and probably 60 inside so we had to eat with our coats on.

Armani is such a sweet girl. There was alot going on inside the restaurant and she still managed to keep our table in line. As well as others. She communicated very well. And got our food to us in good timing right before we caught our flight. Food 8/10! My husband and I will be back for another stay!
