Tonight was wonderful. It wasn’t overly crowded at all, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had a medium rare ribeye, Sweet Chili Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, and a side of grits. I also tried the Autumn Cherry Mule and the Backwoods Old Fashioned. Both were amazing additions to the meal.
Hostess and server were amazing and very attentive. Restaurant and bathroom were clean and inviting. I brought my mom and we had a wonderful time.
With it being spring break, it was not overly crowded at all. The atmosphere first off was quiet and welcoming. The hostess immediately greeted us and set us down with a smile on her face.
Our waitress was very kind and described everything in great detail. We have never visited before and was informed greatly. The menu was simple but had great options to choose from. We ordered the grilled parmesan oysters, and they were perfectly grilled and well seasoned. I paired it with their house made sweet potato hot sauce. Delicious to say the least. My husband ordered the prime rib steak, and it came with rice and broccoli. My goodness, it was good. Medium rare just like we like it. I ended up getting the brazed short ribs and honey Dijon mustard Brussel sprouts, and a bed of house made potatos and gravy! I am telling you. It was so good, and the short ribs were extremely tender. That isn’t something you’d want to miss out on. We will definitely be back and do it all over again!

Came to Oxford for parents weekend and Sola was recommended by our daughter. The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal. The price of the meal reflects in the quality of food served. The atmosphere, quaint and upscale while personal to the size of the restaurant. Met the owner for a quick moment and what a phenomenal job she is doing with her business. Staff was excellent and attentive to the service provided. I selected the Truffle Pasta and it was one of the best Italian dishes I have consumed since living in Italy for 4 years. The Ducky Dumplings and Parmesan Truffle Fries were flavorful as well. Additionally we had a few drinks from the bar and prices were reasonably priced considering the location. Overall a great experience and one we will repeat when we are in Oxford again.

My husband and I have been wanting to try SoLa for years, but since we’re not local, it never quite worked out during visits to my parents—until last night. It was absolutely worth the wait and the anticipation! The shrimp & grits, Brussels sprouts, oysters, veal Oscar, ducky dumplings, and toffee dessert were all excellent. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and took wonderful care of our party of six. We can’t wait to come back!

Tied with Saint Leo for best brunch in Oxford. Maybe a slight edge over Saint Leo even. Incredible menu along with tempting chalkboard specials, including chargrilled oysters. We had the oysters, steak and eggs, and a grouper Benedict. The grilled oysters would easily hold their own in NOLA. Steak and eggs perfectly cooked. And grouper Benedict was amazing including some of the best hollandaise sauce I’ve had anywhere. It was a five star meal.

sola was so good!!! this was my first time in and we had the brunch menu on sunday. I ordered a chai tea and it took a little while to get the drinks out, but I was not disappointed. the beignets were a must have for a starter. I, personally, had the sola benedict and it was so so so so good. I really haven’t ever had anything like it. the spinach cakes in it were absolutely to die for and the whole meal together was refreshing and wonderful. Everyone that I was with really enjoyed their meals. I definitely will be visiting again!

My wife and I had been wanting to eat here for a while and decided to make a reservation for our anniversary. From the moment we walked in the servers were friendly and very helpful. We ordered drinks that arrived promptly and were delicious. Our appetizer was amazing and when our entrees arrived we stopped talking to each other. We were so busy eating and raving about how good our food was. We will be eating here again. Next time we won’t wait on our anniversary.

The overall experience was wonderful. Our party all said we could make a meal on the brussel sprouts alone! Hard to find any shortfall, but the wait staff could pay a bit more attention to detail such as keeping drinks refilled timely and fresh spoons for dessert. Overall a close to perfect experience.
