You know you are not in a real Spanish restaurant when there is no bread and EVOO served at your table.
Service: rude and rushing
Food: The chef brings your food to the table, perhaps the delightful part of the dinner at this restaurant.
Pan con Tomate: On stale pre-toasted garlic/butter, small slices of bread are just a cardinal sin.
The Paella with TWO shrimps had nice and traditional flavours.
We went for The Basque Cheesecake listed on their menu, which is a proud and loved dish back home in Spain: Sadly, a big disappointment for the classic caramelized notes with hints of vanilla, we’re erased by an overpowering burtn orange flavour.

What an amazing restaurant inside the hotel property. The best Paella my husband and I have had outside of Spain! Danielle was our waiter. He was amazing! His recommendation of the orange cheesecake in the fabulous specialty drinks we started with made our evening.!!

Simply amazing! It’s right next to a hotel and doesn’t have signage leading to the parking lot which may confuse you at first. However, once you get inside, you’re in for a treat. The place wasn’t packed at all in fact there was only one other group there. But what’s really important is that the food is extremely delightful. The presentation was exquisite and tasty. If you’re in the area, make sure you add this place to your visit.

This is good paella. The crusty rice at the bottom., the service, the flavor, the atmosphere. Five stars, zero complaints.
Thank you for a great evening.

I wish I could give a 5 star review to this lovely location. The four star review is based more on ambiance, staff, friendliness and the decor of the place. If it was based on food only I would give this place a 3 star review. I can here with a big group. We ordered some tapas, the papas bravas (patatas!) and the corn. We also ordered several of the paellas. The one in the picture is the Tierra y mar. Everything was just ok. Having been to Spain and tasting the delicious plates there had created some high expectations for this plate. One of my favorite dishes in Spain is the Tortilla and this wasn’t offered at this restaurant, unfortunately. The paellas had a lot of seasoning (too salty), too much tomato, and not enough saffron, in my opinion. The paella wasn’t fluffy at all it was more wet and sticky like a risotto. The drinks were good. We had wine, sangria and a drink made with Negroni, that was a hit with many of the people in my group. I probably wouldn’t come back but it was a good overall experience.

We were staying at the Paloma and walked by this gem several times before trying it. What a find! The staff is beyond friendly and the food absolutely unique and delicious. Try the Tapas menu.

A very good Spanish tapas restaurant a bit out of the way behind Trader Joe’s in cathedral city. Excellent empanadas cauliflower shrimp dishes

Friendly service, amazing and fresh food, delicious dessert! I went with my husband in search of paella and we were not disappointed. The vegetable paella was to die for. Empanadas were crispy and fresh. Cheesecake texture was divine. I left way too full
