Every time I visit Sol, it just gets better and better! I first came for their amazing burgers and cocktails, and I had such a great experience that I’ve been eager to come back. Recently, my friend and I noticed that scallops were on the menu, and we’d been trying to coordinate a time to return just for them. Well, today we finally made it, only to be told the scallops were being taken off the menu.
Enter Rachel, our amazing bartender/waitress, who worked some magic and made sure we got our hands on those scallops! Talk about top-tier service! Not only was the food fantastic, but the drinks she crafted were also incredible — perfectly balanced and refreshing.
As for the scallops, they were hands down the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly seared, flavorful, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Hope to have them again in the future! Sol really knows how to deliver when it comes to both food and service. I honestly can’t wait to return for another round of delicious food, fantastic drinks, and top-notch hospitality. Def a must stop in Downtown Willoughby!

Came here with my brother for dinner a few weeks ago. The atmosphere was cute but the food was just ok especially the price we paid.
Think the only thing I liked were the octopus from my appetizer, not even the whole appetizer!
Maybe I’m biased but I don’t think mush should be with more mush on a dish.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at Sol today! The food was delicious, our server was attentive and we enjoyed the nice atmosphere. It was my second time there and my daughter’s third. We will be back!

Pathetic. We had reservations for 7PM and arrived on time and were seated in the back area. It took the waitress 15 minutes to get to us and take our drink order. She came back to the table 5 times to tell us certain things were out of stock including 2 of the 5 draft beers and a number of flavors of the margaritas flight. We ordered our food at 7:25 along with our appetizer. 8PM and no food or appetizer. 8:30 we ask where our food is and the young lady says she will check and disappears. When she comes back to the room she doesn’t make eye contact and goes to another table. 8:40 they bring our appetizer: whipped feta dip and croustini. Easily a dish that takes 5 minutes to make. 8:55 part of our party leaves because they are hungry and haven’t eaten. I understand being busy and getting behind, but waiting 90 minutes to get an app is beyond the pale. Whoever is managing this place should serously consider a career change.

I went on wine night. As a former server/bartender I’m very lax. However, I must note (no names necessary) the service was extremely slow. We had a reservation at 6:45 and our food didn’t come out until 8:00 pm ish & our drinks took about half an hour as well. When the wine arrived to the table I didn’t have a proper wine glass for me and my partner. By the time I got the second one we were eating. The atmosphere is a vibe, but esp when food and drinks are taking that long it would’ve been nice if

The food was okay it didn’t seem like hot.. however for 16-18 bucks for the diner, and half off wine.. we chalked it up to a good deal nonetheless

In the last 9 months, we have used Sol for 2 larger events. May 2025, we had my bridal shower for 100 people in their back room. It was a wonderful experience. The service was great, and the food was even better. This weekend, we had my cousin’s bachelorette dinner there for 20 people. The service and food, again, was outstanding! High recommend.

Took my girlfriend here for a date, was expecting a more upscale experience but they had the football game playing and everyone was screaming at the tv. Not sure how i ended up at a sports bar but whatever. Service was extremely slow despite it not being too busy, drinks were good. Got the surf and turf bites for our appetizer, not worth the price but they are okay. I ordered a burger, asked for medium and got they grayest driest overcooked patty. She got a prime rib sandwich and it was actually not too bad. Idk… maybe i give them another shot, but the prices for what i got and the location, its not like im in downtown Cleveland… ya know?? why do i have to pay to park?? Why are the greasy over cooked fries $4 extra? Why do you ask how i want my burger prepared if the cook doesn’t know how to make a burger? Maybe i came on a bad night ♂️

Just had the best dinner at Sol! They were able to accommodate our large party of 18 perfectly and the service was incredible. Everyone absolutely loved their food and cocktails, not a single miss! Will definitely be back for birthdays and celebrations to come!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Don’t Believe the Hype
My experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. The service was painfully slow and completely disorganized. After waiting 30 minutes just to get our drinks, we placed our food order at 7:55 PM — but it didn’t arrive until 9:20 PM, nearly an hour and a half later.
What made it worse was the lack of communication or apology from the staff. The servers seemed indifferent, as if they simply didn’t care. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, bland, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. To top it off, the waitress failed to mention that the chicken I ordered was actually a sandwich — even though I clearly said I wanted fried chicken, not a sandwich.
For staff to keep customers waiting over two hours and then serve cold food is completely unacceptable. If this is how they operate, I can’t imagine this business lasting long.
This place might look good on social media, but it’s definitely not worth the hype. If you value your time, money, and basic customer service, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are far better options out there.
