A particularly special touch was being personally welcomed and served by the owner, who offered thoughtful recommendations that led us to some truly standout dishes. The margarita, made with incredibly smooth tequila, set the tone for a memorable evening.
Every item we ordered was exceptional—from the mushroom bruschetta and French onion soup to the homemade lasagna. The beet salad was another highlight, especially with the added sea bass, though the portion of fish felt a bit small for the price.
If I had one critique, it would be the limited space—there are only about six tables, which made the dining room feel a bit cramped. Still, the atmosphere remained cozy and inviting.
Overall, we loved every bite and can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Sol is a gem.
The halibut for my husband was tender and flaky, not overcooked nor chewy; cooked perfectly. My lions mane steak was so juicy and grilled to perfection, I’ve never had a better lions mane steak like that! Don’t get me started on the desserts- everything was made from scratch, organic, added adaptogens, lattes, kombuchas with adaptogens and lions mane. You don’t see a dessert menu with these intentional longevity ingredients. This restaurant takes healthy fine dining to a whole other level! Executive Chef Debbie is working her but off and is so humble greeting every guest with a smile and taking orders. Abrianna is a delight, talking to every table making sure she gets every order down to a tee and recommending the best items on the menu. We couldn’t have had a better experience here and we need to take our family members!
Small portions, high prices, average taste, mid interior, entitlement of a michelin star. As a holistic nutritionist myself, food here is regular homemade stuff, nothing fancy. Got Thai Pumpkin Curry w Seafood – barely any pumpkin, average zuccini, good amount of seafood (lots of shells tho). Artisan bread w butter were prety good. Lasagna was… okay. Very small plate. If you’re a man, you’ll need 2 to get full. That’s $80+ if anyone minds.
The menu is small, wouldn’t have a problem there since they cook it and dont reheat Sysco, but! They were out of 2 major meals on the menu that day so we had to get stuff that we didn’t want. If you have seafood allergy like I was – your menu shrinks to basically 3dishes.
Interior: small, dark, not loud which I loved, but looks cheap: very basic tables and chairs, some pillows, things hanging on the wall that look like Tjmaxx thrifts.
Waiters: great service from Debbie, I think, no complaints.
Wine: great, loved it.
If you plan to come here for the holistic reasons – I dont recommend, you will eat overpriced meals that you could’ve made at home.
Although this is a small family-run restaurant, the ambiance feels like a charming spot in Paris. The quality, presentation, and service are all absolutely top-notch. A wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend.
Sol St. Pete Bistro never disappoints. The steak is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Cutting into it is like cutting through butter, and every bite is packed with flavor. The ambience is top notch, warm, and inviting. I’ve been twice now, once for my birthday and recently for my friend’s, and both times were incredible. We sat inside and loved how cozy and intimate the space felt. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in St. Pete!
I will not be going back to Sol.
