This is such a sweet little spot and my curry wrap was delicious (and also big enough for two meals) The slightly slow service was not really an issue but I was slightly frustrated by the lack of a clear process for being seated. Waiting 15 mins in line behind people buying pastries only to be told “have a seat and I’ll get to you” seems backwards. Other than that, this place is delightful.

On vacation to Taos, we went out of our way to get breakfast here because I have dietary restrictions and I read that this restaurant would have plenty options for me. The food was wonderful and the employees were incredibly kind. Our waitress was very nice and even gave us some good tips on places to go on our road trip. I had the most delicious gluten free pancakes and my boyfriend had a yummy omelette. The baked goods available were also incredible.
The wait for food was a little longer than normal but we didn’t mind at all.

Wow wow wow this place is so chill and the food was delicious and the staff was so kind and sweet. I got the matcha and the Green Chile breakfast burrito dank. I ate it slowly and still forgot to take pictures lol.
Go here you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic spot for breakfast, really great coffee. I accidentally left my purse here. I drove all the way to Santa Fe before realizing it. Ruby kept it behind the counter for me and kept everything safe. Highly recommend this little gem. They have a great market as well.

The vibe of this place will keep me coming back! It’s tucked away and this perfect little hidden gem. The menu is simple but good. LOVE having access to good fresh organic food and at a good price for what it is. Really enjoyed being in the outdoor seating area.
The service is definitely a bit disorganized and the food was good enough.
I got the breakfast potatoes with green chili—the chili had a good spice, the potatoes could have used some salt and the delish would have benefitted from some crunch. I would order again and ask for the potatoes crisped up. And there were plenty of items on the menu I was interested in that would keep me coming back to try more.

Dining at Sol Food Cafe was a delightful experience, particularly due to their outstanding sandwich, El Caballero. The first bite revealed the perfectly balanced kick of heat from the green chile, which melded seamlessly with the rich, savory flavors of the sandwich. The crunchy, cheesy bread added a wonderful texture, making each bite an adventure. The accompanying Au jus/”oh-ZHOO” sauce elevated the experience further, providing a savory dip that enhanced the flavors and made the meal fun and interactive. The lovely waiter added to the charm of the morning , offering helpful advice on the menu and sharing her personal favorites, ensuring our meal was not only delicious but also memorable. There were some other honorable menu food items the family and I tried check out the pictures to see if you can match it to the menu. anyways Bon Appétit / provecho !

Atmosphere for breakfast is of negligible importance to me; however, it was interesting. My first impression is that this was a great place in a very small village on the way to a ski destination.
The ad in the local dining guide was interesting and proclaimed “THE HEALTHIEST FOOD IN TAOS” despite NOT being in Taos.
It has an interesting physical layout that impacts efficiency yet the tasks get accomplished.
Deb had the Sol Food Breakfast Sando which was difficult to handle as a sandwich and had too much pesto for her tastes. I had Papas con Chile with green and a side of bacon. I asked for over medium eggs with solid whites and runny yellows. I am fairly sure that the egg whites were not fully cooked but after mixing everything together in the chile it was difficult to be sure.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The questionable egg whites belies the “healthiest” food claim regardless of location. Since this was our only visit I can’t extrapolate how other fare might be. IF I were to go there for breakfast again I would order differently. Scrambled eggs?

This is definitely some place I will tell you to go! I sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views while having some of the best most soul savoring foods I’ve ever tasted! Not only was lunch good, so were the pastries and desserts!

Super excited to try this place, looked awesome, we got sat down, waited 10 minutes to order no one came to serve us. We go to the cashier to order because we thought maybe that’s how you order, cashier said she would eventually get us, she continued to serve people that came in after in the line, we ended up getting up and leaving after 20 minutes of not being served.
Really disappointing.
