I came here with my husband and we thought it was dead inside. Took a bit to get seated and to have our drinks ordered but it was order drinks they came back appetizers? Of course we got the fresh Guacamole absolutely worth the money spent on it. I got the nachos and my husband got the premium grilled bowl and both were AMAZING! The decor is so fresh and beautiful to look at and definitely give this place a lot of class that other standard Mexican restaurants don’t have. Definitely will come again when able.

Tonight I had the opportunity to visit Sol de México restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very friendly manner, which immediately made me feel welcome. The customer service was excellent throughout my visit; the staff was attentive, respectful, and always made sure everything at our table was perfect.
Every detail of the atmosphere creates an authentic and cozy experience, with spectacular decorations that truly make you feel as if you are in Mexico.
The Texas fajitas, the molcajete, and the supreme burritos were, without a doubt, the best part of the experience. The food was delicious, very well prepared, and full of incredible flavor. In addition, the drinks paired perfectly with the flavors of each dish.
I would definitely come back and highly recommend it; it is one of the best restaurants in the area.

I stopped in thinking this place would compare to some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Boy, was I wrong.
I ordered the Tacos de Pastor. On the first bite, I realized I was chewing on something other than chicken. Fortunately, I didn’t swallow it—it turned out to be a sliver of metal which would have resulted in a trip to the emergency room and potentially surgery.
I brought this to the waiter’s attention. He took the metal and the dish from the table and then asked if I would like something else from the menu. I decided to order a burrito instead. The burrito came with fries, which were actually pretty good—at first. Then I discovered that one of the fries was frozen solid. I have no idea how a frozen fry ends up in a pile of cooked fries unless it was somehow dropped on the floor and put back on the plate. Gross.
If you’re looking for Mexican food, go elsewhere. This place is not only disappointing—it’s potentially dangerous.

This restaurant was good for the first time. The food and drinks were tasty. I love the chips and salsa. The guacamole was good too. I ordered the steak Fajitas. They came out sizzling hot and were delicious. They do need to give you more Tortilla shells for the steak. The service on the other hand was questionable. I gave it 3 stars because It was the end of the night and were about to close in a few, so I would have to go back again around normal business hours to see if the service was always like that, or if they were just ready to go home. The lady who comes to clean the tables off AFTER everyone eats was very aggressive. She was attempting to clean off the table when people were still eating. Not just the unused stuff set aside, but the plates and silverware you were using. I just thought it was that table next to us because it was a big group. NOPE! She was trying to take the tray that had her flight drinks on it. The drinks weren’t even finished or set aside. She was taking the bowls and plates that still had food in them, not asking if we wanted a box for them. She was trying to take everything and I thought she was going to take the fork right out of our mouths, as we were eating. We all just laughed and said to ourselves. “She really wants to go home”. The building is strange because it still looks like the olive garden but with a twist of Mexican flavor. Our server was nice and polite. She is the reason I gave service and extra star instead of 2 stars. The prices were good for the amount of food you get. I will most definitely come back. I love Mexican food.

FABULOUS!!!! Loved it! Food was AWESOME! Karina our server was perfect! Very happy with our first time here. So very glad we stopped! It’s absolutely beautiful inside too! Love the decor! We ordered two entrees, appetizer, a dessert AND one alcoholic beverage and it was $73. Very impressed. DEFINITELY will be coming back and bringing our friends!

If you’re looking for amazing Mexican food with top-tier service, this is THE spot. Every single time I come here, the experience is flawless. Huge shoutout to Nery, Carlos, Daniel, and Aiden—they are absolute rockstars. Friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and always smiling. They make you feel welcomed like family, not just another table. Such a vibrant and upbeat spot! Perfect for date, night, or dining out as a family. The food was delicious, cocktails for amazing, our server, Jorge was so friendly and on point with everything! He went out of his way to accommodate our children’s preferences. If we could give 10 stars we would!!! We love Sol De Mexico in Taunton so much! This restaurant reminds me so much of the Tex Mex I’m used to back home in central Texas. The margaritas, the corridos tumbados music, the servers who make you feel welcome and like family, and the speed of service keep us coming back, almost weekly! My family and I have been coming here since they first opened their Taunton location and often make it our Friday night dinner choice, because it always hits the spot. We went for dinner tonight and I tried a SDM bowl off of their updated menu and it was so good! Our 3 year old son asks for “SOL Mexico” and “Donna” (an amazing busser there) regularly. If he likes a place that much, it means it’s amazing.

Neri is the best. Danny is friendly and always checks on tables! Sol de Mexico has become one of our favorite spots! The food is delicious, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. They remember our order, are happy to make changes, and always make us feel like they’re excited to see us. Just an overall great experience every time.
