This is a really lovely dining experience in Lakeside! The food is really incredible, don’t skip their breakfast options! Its a lot of unique (for Americans at least) items and ingredients. The flavors are authentic and fresh. Went twice just last week it was so good. A real treat.

All the people working behind the counter were very friendly, happy and helpful. The food was delicious. I will absolutely be back to try the rest of the menu.

I love that Sol Cafe is here. And I love that I have access to food of this caliber in my hometown. What an absolute delight from start to finish. My family I had lunch there around noon on a Saturday. No line, plenty of seating, quick service, friendly staff, incredible food. We all left full and happy. And that papaya salad? I’ll be dreaming about that for days. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Nice quiet place no big tables so probably not good for big group. Dishes are all pretty spicy, even for a non spicy dish like congee, so not suitable for kids. Things are definitely overpriced compared to other “Chinese restaurants”, portion sizes are ok. Don’t expect the traditional dishes here, it’s more Asian fusion style.

Went for brunch here with husband. Service was friendly, would love to see a bit more decor, though. The food was good – the karage chicken bowl being the stand out. The Okinomiyaki was a little disappointing- it barely had any cabbage, was practically just a pancake… BUT the pork baos were very good. Dalgona coffee was also delicious. We will come back and certainly hope that this cafe sticks around. I recommend checking it out – also, the prices are reasonable (for today’s economy).

I visited Sol Cafe the day of their soft launch and have nothing but good things to say. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. I got the Katsu Sandwich and immediately wanted three more. Will definitely be spending lots of time in their tea lounge with a cup of warm milk tea! ☀️

First visit with my husband and daughter, and we were excited to try a new local spot. We ordered a variety of dishes, including fried shrimp wontons, chili peanut noodles, bao buns, and the chicken katsu platter, plus Vietnamese coffee.
There were some highlights. The chicken katsu platter was excellent. The chicken, coating, and sauce were all very good, as well as the rice. The bao buns had a great texture, and the Vietnamese coffee was also very good.
Service, however, was sparse and it was not very busy. We weren’t given enough silverware or plates for sharing and ended up having to make do with what we were given. The front seating area was also quite loud due to a freezer/refrigerator running behind our table, which, when paired with the music playing, made conversation in this small space difficult.
A couple of dishes could use improvement. The shrimp wontons tasted overly fishy and were awkward to eat as a fried appetizer due to the way they were folded and their large size. The chili peanut noodles were very under seasoned and lacked depth beyond some heat, with a sauce that left a pasty coating in our mouths that was unpleasant.
Overall, this place shows promise and has some areas of opportunity for improvement. We’d maybe revisit in 6 months after more time is given to work out some of the kinks with the service and menu/food consistency.
