The service and friendly staff were first class. I LOVED the burrito mexicano that I ordered. I am not from Raleigh, but this was a gem of a find for us. When we come back to the city we will definitely return!

Great food, reasonable prices, and quiet enough you can have a conversation. Nice atmosphere. I usually get the ultimate fajitas for two, which gives me leftovers for the next day. Its a lot of food, but sometimes you just have to have your Mexican food fix.

A great little non-chain Mexican restaurant that often gets overlooked in this slightly out of the way strip mall. This is one of the few eateries in this location that has survived the test of time while watching quite a few others come and go over the last 9 years. The menu itself is pretty typical of Mexican restaurants, but the food is executed well and the service is good and friendly.

Bad food, bad experience with Management at the Sol Azteca Mexican Rest. The quality of the food has gone down consistently during the last year. So disappointing. The white cheese dips we always enjoyed is now a grainy, pasty mix of white ‘sauce’. No cheese included. When we gave feedback to the manager, we were faced with hostility. Too bad, you will not see us again. Stay away, there are many more tasty Mexican restaurants in the area.

Based on high ratings and great reviews, my wife & I went to Sol Azteca restaurant for lunch. The waitress was impolite and impatient. The manager (Ramon) was right down rude and very dismissive of our complaints. When asked for owner, we were told that the owner was not there and that he is travelling. I requested contact number for the owner (Victor), however, we were told that he couldn’t give us the number.
Would not recommend this place. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants where the food & the service both are great!!

I give the food 3.5 stars but the service killed our experience. Our waiter was nice but after I accidently spilled a margarita, the manager asked us to pay for half of it. I understand that it is money lost but had they been nice about it, I would have come back and gave them more business thus much more profit for them in the long run. Never have I had a restaurant ask me to pay for part of a spilled drink and so I will not be coming back and hope this review serves as a warning to others that the customers do not come first here.

This is my family’s go to Mexican place. The food is out of this world, the service is great, and the price is just right. We go about once a month. Food choices vary from your standards that suit folks who don’t Mexican beyond Taco Bell to folks who want to have something more fulfilling with a little punch. We won’t go anywhere else for Mexican.

This is, hands down, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Probably the best Mexican restaurant in the triangle. If you haven’t been to Sol Azteca and tried their Tacos a la Diabla, go. You won’t be disappointed. Great service, too.
