Great food and good atmosphere. Prices are similar to other “premium” sushi places but the quality is outstanding. Besides sushi they have an extensive menu with Japanese appetizers and skewers. Their mochi ice cream (especially mango flavor) was outstanding. We got the omakase sashimi in these 9 little boxes which gave a very good variety of different types of fish.

Japanese food is one of my most favorite cuisine and I have a few on my keeper list, and Soko Soko become one on the top of my list as soon as I discovered it. The omakase sashimi set and everything was fresh and great quality. Compare to other Japanese restaurant in the same price range, Soko soko offers better selection/ quality IMO. The omakase sashimi set even includes Amaebi, which is a delight for me! We ordered gyoza and chicken karaage for appetizer and they both were better than most places I tried before. The batter in chicken karaage was very light and crisp, and it was served on a wire rack on top of a plate. A small detail but shows how they put attention to detail because it helps keep the batter crisp and not soggy/ oily.
I also tried a Chirachi lunch bowl, and although it was good, but nothing special about it. The Negi niku don was delicious. It came in an iron pot to keep warm. The kobe beef was super tender, with enough seasoning and balance mixed of scallions and sesame. The seasoning was perfect, not over powering the natural meat flavor.
Another pleasantly surprise for us was that the desserts here are also quite good! Both the crepe cake and the matcha cheese cake were good and helped end the meal nicely.
The decor and the service here are also worth mentioning. The decor is full of natural light, airy, and minimalist style. Reminded me of Muji stores. The service is super attentive! They even pour the beer for you. The way they serve dishes are also details oriented as mentioned earlier. It just shows how much care they put into everything.

The space at Soko Soko is thoughtfully designed—bright, modern, and warm with natural wood and an open counter where you can watch the chefs work. The festive decor made it feel extra fun for the season, and the handwritten specials board had an awesome lineup (Hokkaido uni, shima-aji, kinmedai, kanpachi, plus Kumamoto oysters and tuna kama). If you like sushi spots with a calm, upscale-but-comfortable atmosphere, this is it.

I went for lunch on a Saturday with my 6yo and we loved it at Soko Soko! The waitress was incredibly nice, and we loved everything we ordered. I had to deluxe chirashi, my son had plain udon and tamago nigiri, and we shared chicken kaarage which my son absolutely loved and devoured. It was a wonderful lunch.
Another time I ordered takeout on a weekday, and I picked up the chirashi, the sushi / nigiri dish, and a tonkatsu bento. My son and I enjoyed the chirashi (although a bit too much rice) and tonkatsu, however my husband said the nigiri/ sushi didn’t taste good and was stale despite the plate looking beautiful. The service that time was Ok, they told me AFTER I paid that it would take 30-40mins (!!) but thankfully it ended up being closer to 25m.
My dine-in experience was wonderful so I will be back

Absolutely 10/10 Japanese restaurant. Incredible, amazing food and the staff was really cool.
The food is totally divine. My favorite dishes were all of them, but especially the lobster tacos, chicken skin skewers and mushroom skewers.
It’s one of those restaurants that brings a tear to your eye and you dream of the food for weeks afterward.

First of all, I am impressed by the beautiful match of tablewares in this restaurant (my favorite blue and turquoise). Beyond that, the food is beautifully displayed. And even beyond that, all the ingredients are fresh. You can tell when you taste it. I particularly enjoyed the signature maki. They are not overpowered by sauces. Our server Ling Ling is very friendly and attentive. This is my friend’s second time already and I will come back here again for sure 🙂
PS: The restaurant is popular so make sure to reserve it beforehand.

The atmosphere/vibe is perfect for a night out/date, and the food was delicious! I’m vegetarian and was very impressed by the selection of vegetarian options, including unique rolls and a great variety of small plate options! My husband and our friends enjoyed non-vegetarian dishes and they were all impressed by the food and vibe very much. The staff here were so friendly and accommodating.
